So why only 3 stars?
First off, the idea is great. Let a dog teach spirituality. Interesting for seekers and dog lovers. But it doesn't quite work. Often I had the feeling the author was lecturing and remember that it should come from her dog and threw in a tidbit.
This leads me to the second reason. The book tends to lecture. Sometimes condescending. It may have been better to have someone other than the author read it. The third reason ties the first and second together - it would have been more enjoyable when the speech was more simple. Millie uses big words like "articulate" often. It didn't really fit.
I am certain Ms. Roefaro is knowledgeable and caring. She is on the right path and has much wisdom to give. It just didn't work smoothly here.
I want to give 5 stars but can't
