About this listen

He said I taught him how to dream.

Maybe he taught me, too.

When fate brings the strongest man I know to his knees, dreams aren’t enough to save us.

But Tyler and I have one last chance and the power to decide how this ends.

A tragedy for the ages.

Or the perfect ending to the most beautiful song ever written....

Ours.

A Love Song for Dreamers is book three in the angsty new-adult, academy-inspired Rivals trilogy and must be heard following A Love Song for Liars (Rivals, Book 1) and A Love Song for Rebels (Rivals, Book 2).

HEA

Finally! That elusive HEA! Lol. It was quite the journey for our main characters. I didn’t love the beginning of the story, but that’s because it hit a little too close to home for me personally. I also HATE time jumps with a passion, but I’m grateful the author usually reunites them quickly. And I can appreciate the fact that Annie and Tyler both needed time to figure out what they really wanted and to spend time working toward their goals. It made it all the more satisfying when they finally got together. I was happy to see Annie and Jax work things out as well.

This Book, This Series❣️ Amazingly Beautiful!

I have been loving this series and Annie and Tyler’s journey in life, Piper Lawson, has put these two through the wringer with so many ups-and-downs, but the time was never right for them. But in this third book she shows us where it lead them to and that the journey was worth it because it brings them back to where they are meant-to-be, with each other. To get the most out of the “Rivals” series you need to start with the first book, “A Love Song for Liars” and continue on with the second book, “A Love Song for Rebels” before this book, each book is as amazing as the other and watching these characters grow into their own over the series is too. This book picks up where the second one ended and what an ending that was. Tyler is struggling with the idea of never being able to play again and not being able to move past that. Annie tries to get him out of his funk but she could only do so much for him, his motivation needs to come from within. So she does the unthinkable, she lets him go, and then throws herself into her schoolwork and writing what she hopes will be a Broadway show one day. She has distanced herself from her father because she wants her success to be her own and not because of him. The story fast forwards a couple of years, she returns home, and it was surprising at what she finds, not just the changes with the home and family but that Tyler is there too. Turns out there are unresolved feelings between them and they are not done with each other, never really were. I loved how everything played out in this book and the entire series, it is a beautifully written and plotted story with plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions and a love that was years in the making. Piper Lawson, thank you for this amazingly beautiful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧 📚🎧 And for the exceptional narration, Teddy Hamilton and Rose Dioro have done an amazing job bringing these characters and their story to life. They have been consistent with the character voices throughout the series and have had a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and had you feeling every single one. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to, and their narration enhances an already fantastic story to another level. Thank you for another brilliant listen.

finally

I listened to the Jax and Haileys story the Wicked Series and the listened to Annie and Tylers Series story on Audible. The narration has been wonderful on all of them. It has been great to watch the characters grow. To see Jax and Hailey have the family they want and for Jax to finally have to swallow his pride and allow his daughter to become the talented person she is ment to be. You are sucked in to the deep love and heart breaking pain each time the timming proves to be bad. But fate had it because each time they get thrown back together. This author really did an amazing job. Must read and I look forward to the next book of ANNIE AND TYLER WEDDING.

Love This Series

This is the first series I've read/listened to by Piper Lawson. I've been so invested in the characters. It's been a long road to a HEA. I have loved each book and look forward to the last one where hopefully we get a book of happy living! No doubt that I will be listening to this series again.

Teddy Hamilton and Rose Dioro are favorite narrators of mine. I have always enjoyed Teddy Hamilton, but after this series, Rose Dioro has become a favorite as well. They brought this book to life with an emotional performance that was perfection.

Such a great story

Ugh, these two! Their story has been equally heart warming and heart breaking to read. It was an absolute joy to follow along and finally see them get to the point they do at the end of this book. A very love conquers all, but takes time, kind of tale that will leave you satisfied. Highly suggest this series!

The audiobook was well done, even with my complaints on it that I've mentioned in my review of the last couple books. It's one you almost have to listen to at double speed to have a normal reading tempo going, but it's so very much worth the listen so don't hesitate to give it a try!

Emotional and Perfect!

Oh Annie and Tyler, your love story has been everything and one of my favorites of 2022. Friends since their teenage years, they grew up together and were each other’s best friend through thick and thin.

After the cliffhanger from the previous book, Annie and Tyler are navigating the consequences of what happened. But when their combined dreams lead them in different directions, the two follow them separately. But fate isn’t cruel to them and brings them back together. All the love and chemistry they have is still there. Annie and Tyler work on merging their dreams back together and figuring out their futures.

I loved how much Annie and Tyler grew throughout this series. Piper Lawson did such an amazing job of transitioning them from friends to lovers. It never felt rushed or forced, just so natural and I couldn’t help falling along with them. Annie is smart and her need for independence and making it without the help of her dad is so admirable. Tyler is just so swoony and boyfriend goals. He’s kind, talented, caring and protective. Annie and Tyler are each other's biggest fans and supporters.

Rose Dioro and Teddy Hamilton were absolutely amazing as Annie and Tyler. I love listening to both of them and they were fabulous together. The story is so full of hope and emotions and their performances were perfect.

Heartbreakingly beautiful...

I can't get enough of Tyler and Annie! This is book 3 in the Rivals series and it is heartbreakingly beautiful. It will tear your heart out and stomp on it just to put it back together again. It is full of so many emotions. I can't wait for book 4 and the conclusion of their story.

Teddy Hamilton and Rose Dioro really made you feel every emotion. They are the absolute perfect Tyler and Annie.

Annie and Tyler Always!

Ahhhh A love Song for Dreamers is the third installment of Piper Lawsons Rivals series. I have been so obsessed with this series so far!

Book 3 starts with Annie and Tyler struggling to work through the accident and how Tyler is dealing with the physical aspects and the mental. Annie knows this is not the best Tyler he can be and has to make some really tough choices to love him and keep him unhappily or let him go and allow him to grow.

This was a tough book for me emotionally. I wanted to cry so many times. I adore Annie and Tyler together but I also love the strength they have apart. Piper Lawson really knows how to build strong characters that you just want to root for all the time. I can't wait to see how this series ends!

Rose and Teddy do such a fantastic job narrating this series!

Beautiful & Poignant

This is the third piece of Tyler and Annie's story and these books must be enjoyed in order. Also, if you fall as hard as I think you will and want to learn more about their younger selves and all about Jax and Haley I highly recommend that you listen to The Wicked series. Man, these two really just make your heart ache. You really feel for these two as their romance blossoms, blooms and struggles to survive over the course of this series. So, prepare yourself for the emotional workout headed your way. Love is never the issue between these two but trust me everything else certainly is. Painful baggage, family drama, tragedy, dreams and desires all serve as a multitude of stumbling blocks for this pair to overcome on their angst ridden journey. I loved both these characters so much. In the good times you rejoice with them and in the bad times you want to hold their hands and give them a shoulder to cry on. Tyler was simply amazing! My heart bled for him again and again. While I admired Annie's desire to chase her dreams, I also admit to feeling a certain amount of frustration with her. A few of her actions and decisions rubbed me the wrong way but I think that has more to do with my own personal experiences and with my being on the outside looking in perspective. As a whole though this is a book/series that tells an incredibly beautiful and richly poignant tale of an enduring love that will leave you swooning. The narrator of this book each delivered an outstanding performance that made it sinfully easy to get immersed in this tale and deeply feel it all!

Wow... Kleenex required!

The final book in this series is definitely a tear jerker. It kicks off right after the traumatic ending in book 2... Tyler has been hurt - stabbed by a mugger - and now had long term damage in his hand.

After everything they've been through over the years, i had hoped that this would be an easy finale but it was anything BUT! After encouraging him to take an opportunity to go on tour, she stays behind to realize her dreams of Broadway and.... they drift apart! I about threw my phone at that point while listening to this book lol.

Thankfully, years later back in the big D (hey, i can call it that since i live in Dallas!), they finally reconcile and get their Happily Ever After (thank gawd!!!!) I truly wasnt sure if they'd make it out of this together, but i prayed they would - yay! Prayer answered!!

Ending?? Absolutely perfect. I'm really going to miss these characters along with Jax and Haileys stories. Listening to these books will stay in my heart for a long time to come.

The narrators, Teddy Hamilton and Rose Dioro, did an absolutely perfect and amazing job.

I received an ALC for my honest review!
