Publisher's summary

It’s Christmas in Danger Cove, and all Cassidi Conti wants is clients. A rival salon owner has come to town and stolen The Clip and Sip’s business. Her holiday hopes go south, however, after someone sexes up the sleigh display at her open house, and an incident from the past makes the paper.

Luckily, her tough-talking Texan aunt rides to her rescue, and she’s madder 'n the Grinch in a gift shop. But when a nail client drops dead at her rival’s salon, and the killer sends unseasonal greetings to The Clip and Sip, Cassidi wonders whether an entire Texas cavalry could save her from the impending disaster. She has to act fast to figure out who the manicure murderer is, or her Noël could be nixed - forever.

About Danger Cove:

Danger Cove is a sleepy little town in the Pacific Northwest and home to renowned mystery novelist, Elizabeth Ashby. While Elizabeth swears the stories she writes are fiction, you can find the inspiration for her murderous tales all over Danger Cove...from the intriguing cast of local characters to the places to eat, play, and explore in Danger Cove.

Great Cozy mystery series

I really enjoy this series. it's got a little bit of everything. I love the Italian references. the narrator is ok but I struggle with a monotone type reading. I feel with more experience she will become a great narrator. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Texas Meetups With Jersey

Cassidy’s Texas aunt rides into town to help when the competition threatens to put the Clip and Sip out of business. Now there’s a murder to solve and love is not running smoothly for Gia or Cassidy. Quirky characters and lots of laughs. Recommend.

Another Crazy Murder with the Clip and Sip

Cassidi Conti somehow keeps getting herself involved in Danger Cover murders. The only way to clear her name is to look into the murder herself since the local police has figured she is guilty on loose evidence. This time the death did not take place at the Clip and Sip but did involve their products at a rival salon. While looking into the death, Cassidi finds out a lot more about her Uncle Vinny and the Clip and Sip's questionable past. She needs to look into the town's history to see how it all fits together to solve the crime. It's bad enough trying to run a salon in a former brothel and crime scene, but now someone is targeting the salon and making it even more unappealing to the clientele. Cassidi's crazy cousin Gia is back with her Jersey attitude and accent. This time around, we meet Cassidi's Texan Aunt Magnolia, who is ready to take on everyone to defend her niece. The regular cast of gossipy characters are back, butting their nose in everyone's business. Absolutely loved this one. Can't wait to see what's next for the Clip and Sip cast. At times, it was hard to determine who the narrator was in the story but was pretty easy to understand the change in character.

Sit back and enjoy

I really enjoy this book with so much going on it was an easy listen. I love Traci's mix of humour and mystery.

Cassidi hair salon is in trouble with a new shop opening up down the road and to make matters worse someone is trying to sabotage any plans she has to bring in new business. With Christmas just around the corner and the church nativity show to prepare for the last thing she needs or wants is another murder in Danger Cove, especially one connected to her or her shop but that is exactly what she gets. So with help from her Cousin, her Aunty and a Ouija board Cassidi has to look into the towns past to solve this mystery before she is put out of business or killed.
The narrator is quite good and you can always tell who is talking. So all in all a good book to add to any cozy mystery collection.

Very poor engineering!

Loud hiss behind the narrator’s voice for the entire audiobook. Where was your recording editor, audible.com?
