About this listen

In the fourth installment of the bestselling Royal Wedding Series comes a sweet holiday romance. Avery Truitt aches for true love—the kind she once shared with Prince Colin. Can she dare to hope for happily ever after, or is a fairy-tale ending beyond reach?

College volleyball star Avery Truitt has not seen her former flame, Prince Colin of Brighton Kingdom, since he suddenly pushed her away five years ago. But now, the sadness of losing her father and the joy of her sister Susanna’s pregnancy have brought Avery back to Brighton just in time for Cathedral City’s enchanting Christmas season.

Avery knows she can’t avoid seeing Colin—now the Kingdom’s most eligible bachelor—whether or not her heart is ready to relive the pain. But seeing him again might bring her the closure she needs after all this time.

When Colin finds himself at the center of a centuries-old Brighton tradition, he must decide whether to follow the path laid out before him or follow his heart to the only woman for whom he would ring the Pembroke Chapel Bell.

Can Colin convince Avery to meet him at the chapel on Christmas morning as tradition dictates, or will Avery run back to her St. Simons home and pursue a coaching career as planned?

Sad to say I agree with the others about the narrator. She read it just fine but with very little change in inflection and several times I couldn’t tell who was speaking. That being said, it was a lovely story to end the series with. Full of hope, happiness and love. Really glad to get Avery and Colin’s story.

Lovely story

Loved the story but not the narration. It was hard to figure out which character was speaking and the story would change and I would realize the character speaking was not the one I thought was speaking.

Good story but ..,,,

the story was fantastic, however the narrators voice was anything less. Unfortunately I found her voice to be very monotone and I almost stopped listening to the book because of it.
however, the story is uplifting and makes you see what Christmas is all about.

The story is magical, and shares what Christmas is

Loved the whole Royal Bride series! I just wish they had kept the same narrator! What were they thinking? I agree with the other reviews - it was hard to keep up with who was speaking. Love Rachel Hauck as a writer-all her books!

Nice ending to the series but bad narration!

Loved the narrator for the first 3 books she really got into character but the narrator for the 4th book was boring

Love this series

I was looking forward to reading book 4 and thought it would be as hilarious as books 1-3 and it was no where close. Honestly, the series could have ended at book 3 and added a brief snippet of them to one of the other books. Nonetheless, the other 3 books are well worth it!

The reading performance on this was horrid. Books 1-3 had me spoiled. That reader captured the tones of each character with their accents and it kept me engaged. This reader, it’s hard to tell when she’s reading a dialogue versus the actual story.

The book overall was average because I certainly expected it to end with a bang after such an amazing series; however, I was drastically let down.

I still love this author and will keep reading her books.

This 4th book could have been left out of the series.

I usually don't read books under 8 hours, but this book was well worth it, if you've read the other books in the series. Rachel ties up all loose ends with a great epilogue. I do wish hessenberg played a bigger part in this novel. I've already read this book twice!

Short but sweet

Loved it! Sweet southern girl is reunited with her former boyfriend, the love of her life, who just happens to be a Prince. Five years of not speaking, five years of hurt feelings. Sparks fly, a bell rings and wonderous things happen. No spoilers from me...
It's a great book and a great listen! ❤

Sweet Romance

I really enjoyed the story. God, love, and faith playing a significant role in the character lives. My only complaint would be whenever I have British characters whether they be British or brightonian, I love to have the accent it just really sets the mood and the tone for me.. All in all a great Christmas story

sweet story
