Publisher's summary

In the fourth installment of the bestselling Royal Wedding Series comes a sweet holiday romance. Avery Truitt aches for true love—the kind she once shared with Prince Colin. Can she dare to hope for happily ever after, or is a fairy-tale ending beyond reach?

College volleyball star Avery Truitt has not seen her former flame, Prince Colin of Brighton Kingdom, since he suddenly pushed her away five years ago. But now, the sadness of losing her father and the joy of her sister Susanna’s pregnancy have brought Avery back to Brighton just in time for Cathedral City’s enchanting Christmas season.

Avery knows she can’t avoid seeing Colin—now the Kingdom’s most eligible bachelor—whether or not her heart is ready to relive the pain. But seeing him again might bring her the closure she needs after all this time.

When Colin finds himself at the center of a centuries-old Brighton tradition, he must decide whether to follow the path laid out before him or follow his heart to the only woman for whom he would ring the Pembroke Chapel Bell.

Can Colin convince Avery to meet him at the chapel on Christmas morning as tradition dictates, or will Avery run back to her St. Simons home and pursue a coaching career as planned?

Lovely story

Sad to say I agree with the others about the narrator. She read it just fine but with very little change in inflection and several times I couldn’t tell who was speaking. That being said, it was a lovely story to end the series with. Full of hope, happiness and love. Really glad to get Avery and Colin’s story.

Good story but ..,,,

Loved the story but not the narration. It was hard to figure out which character was speaking and the story would change and I would realize the character speaking was not the one I thought was speaking.

The story is magical, and shares what Christmas is

the story was fantastic, however the narrators voice was anything less. Unfortunately I found her voice to be very monotone and I almost stopped listening to the book because of it.
however, the story is uplifting and makes you see what Christmas is all about.

Nice ending to the series but bad narration!

Loved the whole Royal Bride series! I just wish they had kept the same narrator! What were they thinking? I agree with the other reviews - it was hard to keep up with who was speaking. Love Rachel Hauck as a writer-all her books!

A great finale

And so the series ended and my visit to a loving island kingdom of Briton is come to a close! Who doesn't want to live as a princess and have a life with the knowledge that she lives in the center of God's love and His will? Maybe amidst careers, family and home that is the lesson we are supposed to learn! Thanks for a fantastic reminder! God bless you richly! ❤️🌴😍

Book #4 Once upon a time in a land far, far away...

Well my fellow avid reader, this was a good book as well. Although I think it was missing something from it I just can't seem to find the right words to describe what it is that is missing but it just is. That is why for this book I only gave it three stars.

Magical Love Story

The entire Royal Wedding Series is a testimony to love and happily every after fought hard for with a little divine intervention along the way to shift stubborn and aching hearts and effect forgiveness and light in the world. All without being cheesy and predictable. And I should note I am not a Christian yet I resonated with a God of love. I pondered on Rachel Hauck's soul and a heart that can write with such imaginative beauty and positive light. Bravo!!!!

PS. Read/ listen to the earlier books first if possibke
P.P.S The narration by Julie Lyles Carr was more than adequate. I did set the narration speed to 0.8 which worked for me. I was never lost on who was speaking and I do not understand the negative reviews. This is high quality narration right through.

Bad narration

I was so disappointed in the narrator of the story. She was just reading the story not acting it out to bring the listener in. The story was such a great story. Finally seeing Avery and Collin find true love.

This 4th book could have been left out of the series.

I was looking forward to reading book 4 and thought it would be as hilarious as books 1-3 and it was no where close. Honestly, the series could have ended at book 3 and added a brief snippet of them to one of the other books. Nonetheless, the other 3 books are well worth it!

The reading performance on this was horrid. Books 1-3 had me spoiled. That reader captured the tones of each character with their accents and it kept me engaged. This reader, it’s hard to tell when she’s reading a dialogue versus the actual story.

The book overall was average because I certainly expected it to end with a bang after such an amazing series; however, I was drastically let down.

I still love this author and will keep reading her books.
