Every mother's worst nightmare …

When nine-year-old Rosalie Marshall vanished from her bed one summer night, her disappearance tore her family apart.

I’ve been a Jane Casey fan for years. I’ve weathered narrator changes and long spans between books. In this book, the writing is great and the plot twists perfect, as always. But that epilogue! Maeve has been to Hell and back. Ms. Casey, I ask you humbly, please let her have a win on this one.

Great story, as usual… until!

Took a little time to get hooked into this one but once I did it was a great entry into the series, which never disappoints. I’m completely taken with these characters and can’t wait to find out what happens next. Casey left me right out on a limb here, no spoilers from me. Dream casting? Emily Blunt as Maeve, Benedict Cumberbatch as Derwent. Are you listening, movie/tv Gods?

It’s about time!

Jane Casey, THANK YOU for finally giving us the Josh and Maeve love story progression we’ve been dying for! PLEASE don’t wait until the end of the next book to let us witness their love story progress. I have anxiously awaited every single book of the Maeve Kerrigan series, devoured each as soon as they are released, and wait impatiently in desperate anticipation until the next is published. Thank you for this joy/misery.

Finally!!

I just loved that little girl.

A great story with many twists and turns. It made me cry even. But that ending!!! Glad to hear the author’s note at the end.

Emotional

I waited for a year after I downloaded this to actually listen to it. When I initially started it, I disliked the new narrator.

The end for Maeve and Josh
