About this listen

Rich Dad, Poor Dad: What The Rich Teach Their Kids About Money - That The Poor And The Middle Class Do Not!, by Robert T. Kiyosaki, compares the financial philosophies of the author's two fathers: his biological father - the poor dad - and the father of his childhood best friend, Mike - the rich dad.

Throughout the book the author compares both fathers, and how his real father, the poor and struggling but highly educated man, paled against his rich dad in terms of asset building and business acumen.

This is a great overview of the main book but should definitely not be used as a replacement for reading Rich Dad Poor Dad. The main book conveys the points which so much more passion that it ensures the stories and lessons stay with you on a far deeper level than a basic mechanical understanding of them.

A fantastically accurate analysis of the book.

It's nice if you have not yet read the book. But if you have already read it, it's not that interesting and worth while.

Very useful. Though - I'd make it in first person, or say 'Robert' instead of 'the Author'

    Very useful.

This will get the General idea across, but misses the needed details to get the true points across. Full version is worth the time.

Full book is Much better. Good overview though.

I listened to the unabridged version on a road trip and knew I would need to listen again to take notes in order to apply the strategies and consider the material discussed for a mindset change for me. This Summary was perfect. As I was listening, I recalled many of the specific examples the author shared with each bullet point. This was a great summary and saved me lots of time. After listening to the original, I purchased several copies for friends who said they have it in print (as did I) but never made the time to get through it. I wish I had listed to the summary before gifting the original. They would love this. Well worth it.

Great Cliff/Spark Notes... Worth more than I paid
