About this listen

Dana Duncan sets out for a peaceful overnight hike in to Marion Lake in the Mount Jefferson Wilderness Area of Oregon when a strange lightning storm strikes, leaving her seemingly alone in a familiar place but an unknown time. Now Dana begins a different sort of journey than the one she had planned for: a journey to survive in a time and place where humankind no longer exists and Mother Earth has reclaimed what is rightfully hers. She must survive the wilderness while searching for clues as to where she is and where to find safety. Along the way, she finds destruction, a four-legged hero, a fellow traveler, and finally true happiness.

but be warned there is not much drama in this book, and I loved that about it. I read this in 2023 and with everything going on in the world this was exactly what I needed. No characters trying to rule the world. I think I am in the minority in liking quiet post apocalyptic stories and to be honest there are not many. My all time favorite is The Last Tribe by Brad Manuel

I really enjoyed this...

The storyline was very entertaining. It kept me intrigued, A Technicolor Lightning Storm is a good page turner and fun to read. I would recommend this book to any age group from any walk of life.

Anyone familiar with the northwest will enjoy the descriptive narrative and following along with the protagonists journey.

A slam dunk for a first novel
