We love this series!

Where does A Thicket of Tales, Volume 1 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

At the top!!!!!

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Thicket of Tales, Volume 1?

I would say in The Brothers Three, when they are all out in the ocean learning to work together (don't want to give it away!).

What about A. D. Hasselbring’s performance did you like?

I really enjoyed that it was so well performed. Kind of reminded me of contemporary radio theatre. He tells the stories in a way that are exciting, but not too much for younger kids. (But let me tell you, the kids were on the edge of their seats, even after they already knew how the stories turned out!)

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

The first time we listened to this (and the next few times after that) we listened to it all at once None of us, parents included, wanted to turn it off!

Any additional comments?

There should just be more things like this. It's ridiculous how much time and money as a parent you have to invest in finding something for your kids that you feel good about. This is a winner- wish I'd had it a long time ago.

Saved My Sanity On Our Car Trip!!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

ABSOLUTELY. This was sooooooo awesome... I decided to try it after reading about it in a mom blog, since we have two littles (a boy and a girl) and were planning to drive to see family over the holidays. I was TOTALLY floored. THEY LOVED THEM!!! No fighting, they actually listened, talked about them afterward, kept asking to hear them again...They were a good length, and having several stories made it easier to turn them off when I needed to - great for bedtime so I didn't get stuck with a half an hour. Seriously, they're great. I actually felt good about what we were all listening to.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I'd have to say Maria, although part of that is just because the other stories are more about the plot. (It was during this story that I knew this series was a winner - both my daughter AND son were pulling for Maria.)

What about A. D. Hasselbring’s performance did you like?

I loved that he sounds like an actual adult. No squeaky voices, obnoxious sound effects, or crazy music. He did a great job of storytelling, and he had both of my kids, hook, line, and sinker.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

And it only goes to show...

Any additional comments?

There's no way to describe how happy we are that we had this audiobook with us on our "old school road trip." Our kids were more into these stories than the DVDs we brought, and my husband and I were ecstatic.
