Another fantastic book in this series!

If you could sum up The Good Son in three words, what would they be?

Captivating, exciting and wholesome.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Good Son?

When Jack is running from the giant, the horse he had previously been kind to comes to save him. The sound effects in this whole reading are so engaging and help the listener become immersed in the story. My kids were completely enthralled during the chase, hearing the trees fall and the giant's steps, and cheered when they heard the horse's hooves drawing closer signaling Jack's escape.

Have you listened to any of A.D. Hasselbring’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, I've heard several of the other books in this series. They have all been absolutely delightful! Kind of a mix of Anne of Green Gables and Grimm's Fairytales. He reads in a very accessible, relaxed tone that reminds me of a father telling his children a story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It is not a long story, paced well for children to handle easily in one sitting, and exciting enough that my kids never would have let me turn it off before the end.

Any additional comments?

This is a definite go to for car trips, etc. In my experience it was enjoyed equally by 5,7 and 13 year olds, and both parents who have gotten very tired of the same old children's material. Thank you for something so well written and beautifully read!
