Fun slices of Twain's life

What made the experience of listening to A Tramp Abroad the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed the description of German opera.

Would you recommend A Tramp Abroad to your friends? Why or why not?

Only as a cure for insomnia. The descriptions were cute and quaint, but the highly detailed , pithy, precious and lengthy scenarios lost my interest quickly. The folksy narration was Twain-like, but very slow-paced. A deadly combination.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Robin Field?

Robin Williams

Boring

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

I didn't realize this was just a journal of Mark Twain's travels....too slow, doesn't draw you in at all.
