Story
Once upon a time, in the magical land of San Francisco, there lived a not-so-ordinary girl named Laurel Pettigrew. She was supposed to be the Chosen One. The plan was simple: She would vanquish the great evil Tybus in an epic battle. But destiny had other ideas, and Laurel's performance in the whole heroics department was a colossal flop. Now, instead of being a legendary hero, Laurel's the resident pariah of the magic realm. And what’s worse, the dark wizard Tybus swooped in, took over the realm, and forced all supernatural creatures to live under his tyrannical rule.

Story
Most people have heard of the Celts - the elusive, ancient tribal people who resided in present-day England, Ireland, Scotland and France. Paradoxically characterized as both barbaric and innocent, the Celts appeal to the modern world as a symbol of a bygone era, a world destroyed by the ambition of empire and the spread of Christianity throughout Western Europe. Despite the pervasive cultural and literary influence of the Celts, shockingly little is known of their way of life and beliefs, because very few records of their stories exist.

A good resource for those that know how to use it.
Paul Meier's full books are more comprehensive but if you know how to use a resource like this, it's very good for a short review.

Fun!
I don't have a character to accent, but I enjoyed listening to this. As the child of an Irish-woman from Dublin, I've never been able to tell the difference in the accents of the north and south of Ireland. this was helpful and fun to listen to.

Accompanying text missing?
The narrator mentions an accompanying text, but where is it?
For $2, totally worth it.
The narrator is super quick and leaves no time for you to practice replying. Also, having the accompanying text would help. That being said, the narrator has a great accent, his examples are very entertaining, and I plan on practicing with this frequently

Good stuff
What made the experience of listening to Accent Your Character - Irish the most enjoyable?
It is so easy to listen to and start to mimic
What was most disappointing about Paul Meier’s story?
Went too fast.
Any additional comments?
Excellent resource for those of us who wish to fake an Irish accent however, it is just a start. Go to Ireland if you are serious about acquiring this skill. Lookit, such a lovely whimsical way of speaking to be sure.

Listen carefully...
...and you'll hear Paul Meier giving you everything you need to begin developing your own authentic Irish-flavored voice. While there is a good deal of how-to here, Meier's magic is in the telling of the tale. Analysis is an excellent approach to this material, but please don't overlook the possibilities of simply listening--truly listening--to the master's voice. There is far more awaiting you than you might expect.
