About this listen

Rani Shah is everything I can't have—too young, too sweet, too innocent. Not to mention, she's my late wife's sister and my son's nanny.

So when she asked me to kiss her, I should have refused. When she begged me to touch her, I could have turned her down. When she coaxed me to take the one thing she's never given away—her virginity—a better man would have walked away.

Should have, could have, would have... But I didn't.

She should have been living the carefree life of a nineteen-year-old. She could have avoided all my broken pieces and jagged edges. She would have been able to save herself before I got a taste.

Should have, could have, would have... But she didn't.

Some love stories are forbidden from the start. Ours is one of them.

Family Matters

Adrift -Aaron Shedlock

Loved loved loved 🥰 this story. Totally relatable in some ways. Loved how MC’s handled things that can go well upside down so to speak. Author did an awesome job with the storyline. As for the narrators , Aaron Shedlock was great as always , loved him as Darian 👏🏻👏🏻. Simone Lewis is new to me , but she was just great as Rani 👍🏼👍🏼

Loved it

I really liked this story. It is a so-called taboo story because it is a sister in law but she is dead so I don’t know how taboo it is. Just the right amount of spice and romance. Narrators were great.

Narrators.

Enjoyed the story. Heartfelt with twist. Wholesome characters. Complex situations with age gap and family dynamics which added to the drama.

Devoured this single dad/nanny, age-gap, forbidden story!

This book has everything you’re looking for and more! A breathtakingly beautiful romance about a single-dad, with slow-burn, forbidden, age-gap, and taboo elements that is emotionally addicting and captivating. Darian and Rani were characters I never knew I needed in my life until I did.

This book is narrated in dual by Simone Lewis and Aaron Shedlock and what a powerful performance from them! The fiery dynamic between Rani and Darian could be felt throughout this story because of the remarkable talent of these two individuals.

Aaron embodied Darian’s rough and gruff persona perfectly. Darian is a very guarded person when it comes to his heart, his feelings, and his son and Aaron showcased those impeccably. He made you yearn for Darian to find some peace and happiness in his life once again, even in a very unforeseen situation.

This was my first time hearing Simone, and oh my word, she was absolutely brilliant! She radiated Rani’s sunshiney attitude and always lived in the moment. Even when dealing with some harsh words from her mother, Rani never let it make her bitter. She still exuded Rani’s confidence, her sweetness, and her fierceness, which was emulated throughout Simone’s narration.
