Publisher's summary

He was my uncle's friend, and I was too young for him. But in the heat of the moment, against the wall in a darkened hallway of an illicit club, none of those things mattered. It was just one night of giving in to what we both wanted.

I never expected to see him two years later, sitting across from me during a family dinner, encouraging me to do my internship for his business.

On day one, we both agree that repeating that night would be a mistake. But it's a mistake we can't help but make again and again.

The rules are simple. We can't tell my uncle. We have to be content with our hotel rendezvous. And we won't fall in love.

But we both know we're liars.

Good Book

Overall this is an entertaining book. I was enjoying it thoroughly until around 70% because Olivia (FMC) starts to get annoying and show just how naive and selfish she is. Honestly, Alexander (MMC) proves to be a patient man and I felt bad for him. It has some great steamy scenes and the suspense is in those moments. I would recommend it.

Perfect age gap taboo erotic greatness

Loved this!! Some reviews were not great but so glad I read this! I love a dominant male and I would have had the same reaction to Kent as Olivia!! One of my favorite new Man Crushes without a doubt I have a new book boyfriend!! I loved that she was submissive to him… that’s the WHOLE point!!! Haters gonna hate but I LOVE this book!!!

Not what I expected

I usually always listen horror/thrillers. I get most of my recommendations off of TikTok, and this book kept coming up in multiple videos. I didn’t even read the summary! That being said, I loved it! Totally out of character for me, but it was well written, hot & steamy and made for a good story! This horror hound may have found a new genre!

Crossing Lines

Definitely all sorts of lines crossed in this story and I liked it. Age gap, he was best friends with her uncle, she was an intern at his business. They are keeping the relationship a secret from their family and friends. Their chemistry ignites when they are in a room together. Why the 4? I wanted to see Olivia with more tenacity.

Liar

Beware ... this book is part of a series. I did not know this until after I listened to it and went looking for more books by Fiona Cole. I checked her website to see what else she wrote and discovered this is book 5 of 6. All characters from the previous books from this series (except Savior) are integral parts of this story; however, I thought they were just secondary characters in a stand-alone. When I read the reviews prior to purchasing this book, none of them mentioned it was part of a series. I'm sure any of the books can be read without having read the prior to the book, because these characters are introduced and explained satisfactorily in Liar. After listening to Liar, I probably won't go back and listen to the prior books, as the relationships exist in Liar. I do look forward to listening to Teacher (Daniel's story).
This story, Liar, is about Daniel's niece and his best friend. At first, Olivia is the pursuer and Kent tries (albiet weakly) to dissuade her interest. The story progresses well, with the development of a real relationship, and character growth in both Olivia and Alexander (Kent). There is a definite hotness factor in the book, and it enhances the chemistry between the two. Definitely worth a credit.

Another good one

Although this isn't my favorite book from the Voyeur series, it is definitely worth the read. All of the books I've read from this author have been well-written and this is no exception.

I loved Kent and the chemistry between him and Olivia was definitely steamy. I enjoy the age gap trope. Throw in a sexy dominant - all the better. While I don't get hung up on ages, I expect the FMC to be mature enough to understand what she's getting into. Unfortunately in this story, Olivia's youth and immaturity set up roadblocks that prevented the relationship from really progressing. As a result, I had some doubts that she was actually mature enough to be part of it. It takes her a while to get there.

The dual POV narration is well done by Ava Erickson & Brian Pallino. All in all, it's a good story and continuation of the series that sets up the characters for the final book. However, I don't know that this will be one I revisit later, so it doesn't hit the exceptional mark for me.

Good

I really do like this audiobook. I feel like the Author dragged some of it out and had to cause some kind of drama towards the end of it. a land it wasn't needed because it didnt really make sense with the character. another then that it was a good story
