She owns the team. He owns her heart. Can a first love turn into a second chance?

Watch out, Sean! Your manwhore days are numbered.

Sean McBride is the bad boy/manwhore of the Seattle Knights football team. And he is happy to embrace the title. He's young. Rich. Handsome. And he's one of the best wide receivers in the game. Why shouldn't he take advantage of all the perks? Women throw themselves at him. Wouldn't it be rude not to catch them?

Riley Preston loves the game of football. The Knights are the most important thing in her life. Besides Sean. Riley has loved Sean since she was 17, but he's always seen her as nothing more than a little sister. Finally, Riley is all grown up and she won't settle for a little fun. She wants everything. Especially Sean's heart.

Outside forces are trying to derail them and the team. Time to grow up. Because, together, nothing can stop them.

Good sports romance

Riley has loved Sean forever but for years, he saw her as a little sister. Then, one day, he realized that he wanted her. Can he get over his bad reputation so that she wants to be with him? Or will she just see him as a good time? Throw in a bit of family drama and it was a pretty good well rounded story. Both Riley and Sean were sweet characters.

Lacey Laurel’s voice for Sean is breathy and a little halting which is a bit distracting. She did a great job with Riley though sometimes it was difficult to know who was speaking during a conversation.

Great Story & Narration🎧Captivating Sports Romance

I enjoyed this great sports romance, Mary J. Williams is a gifted author, her storylines are original, they grabbed my attention right from the start and held it straight to the end. The characters are complex and well developed. Riley Preston has loved football her whole life, her Grandfather owned and ran the Seattle Knights football team. She was his sidekick for years and learned a lot about the game and running the team. Sadly she lost her grandfather when she was young but she never lost the love of the game. The team is being run by her father and other share members, she is not happy with the way he is running things but there is only so much she could do right now, she will have more of a say when more shares come her way in the future. Riley was crushing on one of the players, Sean McBride, a man whore and a player on and off the field. Riley propositions him but he turns her down, she is too young and naive for him. The rejection upsets and she rethinks her life and she decides to up and leave and go to Harvard. She comes back years later better than ever and with a plan, one that will make her Grandfather proud. She also catches Sean McBride’s eye and he is not letting her go this time. I loved how everything plays out in this book, it is well plotted and I especially love how cunning Riley was, how she deal with her dirtbag father and mother. A lot goes on in this book, there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns and some hot romance. Mary J. Williams, thank you for another great novel.

Lacy Laurel is a fantastic narrator and voice artist. She does a great job portraying the characters and bringing them to life, giving each their own voice and personality. You could hear how much heart she puts into her work as she projects the characters emotions into her performance. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen🎧

I knew going in that I would enjoy this story. I like sports romances. The writing was great, The characters were likeable and relatable. I had fun with the dialogue, and the narration was done so very well. I felt like I was watching a movie. The scenes just moved through my imagination automatically. Enjoyable listen

Good story, it flowed well and was the perfect length. I could have dinne without the pointless manufactured drama stunt in the last 40 minutes... replaced by something that just made a little more sense as a challenge for the lead characters.

Great narration, my first with this narrator.

sports romance

Riley Preston learned the love of football from her grandfather. she learned how to run the team and how the game was played. She was 12 when he passed away. He always told her the team would be hers one day. She had to wait until the age of 30 for full ownership. Until then the team was managed by her father and shareholders. Riley always had a crush on one of the players, Sean Mcbride. He was a player in more ways than one. She kisses him, he rejects her. She leaves and goes away to college and doesn't come back until she turns 25. That's when he starts to notice her. This is a second chance romance, with mystery and lies.
I really enjoyed listening to this story narrated by Lacy Laurel.

Touchdown

This lil read was a surprisingly cute Love story! The plot twist with the jerk of a father was a nice touch! Narration was good, but I would of preferred a more manly voice for Sean!
