About this listen

This bundle includes the first three books in the Rookie Rebels series. In the first book of the series, Good Guy, Levi makes his pro-hockey debut. Jordan is a dogged sports reporter determined to get a scoop. She's also his best friend's widow. In the second book, Instacrush, Elle's hot hockey player neighbor, Theo, is the most annoying man in the world. But one sexy Santa visit and one dinner later, she's pregnant. In the third book, Man Down, Gunnar has been texting the wife he lost, the one he loved beyond measure, but someone else answers back. Each book is completely standalone and features one primary couple, a guaranteed happily-ever-after, and no cliffhangers!

Excellent boxset

I loved all the stories. The author did an excellent job intertwining all the characters yet telling each story. The performance was okay. It's always nice to hear male voices with male characters. Maybe different performers for each story? Overall, worth the credit.

Enjoyable stories, enough differences to set them

Enjoyable stories, enough differences to set them apart.

Not a fan of the narration for Theo. very annoying and everything he says is dragged out. definitely set the character apart, but he is supposed to be likeable, not annoying.

Definitely worth a read/ listen.

Love

Very emotional. Loved that both of the main characters had their own issues but were able to help each other. Cried several times.

Beautiful stories

These stories are gorgeous. I very much enjoyed them. They are beautiful and intertwined. The characters are all very strong and I love the Chicago Rebels hockey team being a family. The first story is about Levy & Jordan. The second concerns Theo and Ellie. The third is about Gunner and Sade. Each couple’s members has its complicated roots and backstories that they seem to think precludes having a relationship with each other. I’m so happy that all three couples figure it out. I also LOVE hearing how strong the Rebels owners Harper Chase and her sisters are. They are really cool when we hear about them.

too emotional

The last book was a lot for me. I teared up more than I ever have at a romance book. It was great, but be warned ⚠️ tears may fall!

Good stories but....

The stories were good but there were small details that annoyed me so much. Like there's no such thing as sgt engineer. There are engineers in the army and they can be a sergeant but they're just called sergeant.

And then in man down, she called it a Toyota civic and not a Honda civic.

Other than these small mistakes that should have been caught by an editor....I enjoyed all three stories.

It’s good

The stories are cute even though I feel like the FMCs and the fact that they were portrayed as “they were right and the male was in the wrong” got super irritating and did it often throughout the stories. The issues/ problems/ hardships were overcome and did give a HEA but I still felt the men were def cheated as there were sooo many eye-roll moments in regards to the FMCs for me.
As for the Narrator… she has a pleasant voice for the female characters but it wasn’t my cup of tea for the males. It was read in a way that made the men seem VERY BOYish and soft.
Anyways.. it was tough to get through but since I paid for it had to finish it
