A third grader could narrate the stories better. Painful to listen and not worth the money at any price.

worst narrator ever

Poorly Narated, read slow at times, poor sound quality, lots of echo. Stories great, of course.

Very poorly read

The narrator is American, no British accent. There is loud music in the background to set mood. The narrator is slow and dull. What a waste for one of my favorite authors.

awful narrator

I love Agatha Christie and especially the Hercule Poirot stories but just couldn't listen any more to the narrator. This voice is fine for a 50s style hard boiled detective novel but a really bad choice for these stories.

Couldn't get past 15 minutes of narrator

The background music was unpleasant and the reader seemed unfamiliar with the text. I could not bear to listen. I gave a 5 for the story since Agatha Christie wrote it. Disappointed overall with this version.

Skip This One!

Mr. Deaver has ruined a classic of the British mystery genre. Not only is his accent American but he stumbles along, mispronouncing words, missing punctuation, misunderstanding any form of timing and sounds as if he has a bad case of indigestion. Most sorry I bought several of these before listening first.

The most dreadful narration!
