Publisher's summary

Perfectly narrated by AudioFile Earphones award-winning narrator Alison Larkin and the star of Agatha Christie's Partners in Crime TV series James Warwick, these four novels by Agatha Christie with a bonus short story at the end are a delight from start to finish.

The Man in the Brown Suit - Anne comes to London looking for adventure, but adventure comes looking for her - and immediately finds her when she witnesses a mysterious death.

The Mysterious Affair at Styles - When Emily Inglethorpe dies suspiciously after marrying a man 20 years her junior, her nephew, Captain Hastings, recruits his old friend Hercule Poirot to help in the investigation.

The Secret Adversary - Tommy and Tuppence are a broke young couple that embark on a daring business scheme that plunges them into more danger than they ever imagined.

The Murder on the Links - An urgent cry for help brings Belgian detective Hercule Poirot to France. But he arrives too late to save his client, whose brutally stabbed body now lies in a shallow grave on a golf course, leaving a mystery only the world’s greatest detective can solve.

Split audio quality

It’s Dame Christie so the stories are superb. And the audio quality of the 3 read by Ms. Larkin was perfectly acceptable.

But, the audio quality of the 2 read by Mr. Warwick was unaccountably bad. I can see no excuse for such poor recording at this time of digital wonders. Its simply unacceptable.

On a related note, while I’m certain of Mr. Warwick’s talent he sounds quite a bit older than any of the characters he portrays. Time steals from us all if we live long enough.

Credit worthy for half of the audiobook which is still 15 or so hours of pleasure.

A fantastic deal! Four Christie mysteries in one!

I loved Alison Larkin's narration of Jane Eyre and The Secret Garden and was thrilled to see she has narrated my favorite author of all time - Agatha Christie. I also loved James Warwick in Partners in Crime series on Masterpiece Theatre with Francesca Annis when he was oh such a handsome young man. What a treat to hear these novels read by two such splendid actors! Four Agatha Christie novels in one audiobook followed by a short story? This was worth every penny! I really loved the contrast too between the novels that were read by Larkin followed by the Hercule Poirot novels. I thought James Warwick's Poirot was just terrific and so funny. And the short story at the end was really good too. This audiobook was different and really worth a listen. Well done Audible!
