I really enjoyed this book! The author did an excellent job bringing me into this story. I became fully invested in these characters. This is full of action, action, action! I never knew what was going to happen next! This is really an ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT story.

This just amazes me what people do after a major event. How they act...I can’t believe that society governs those people that much to keep them inline but once things change all heck breaks loose.

I have to mention how impressed I am by Beth. She is young physically but not mentally. She is fierce with her bow and arrow as well as other weapons. She goes through a lot in this story and seems stronger as she comes out the other side. i love that she has a dog in here too. He is like another character we grow to Love

This is my first Jack Hunt book but it won’t be my last! This is my type of story! Murder, Mayhem, Suspense and Strong characters. I am starting the next one immediately!

I did listen to this on audio. This is my first experience with Miles Meili. He did an amazing job on all the characters. He has good speed and articulates well. He helps make these characters come to life.

A short book but it is much better than the usual 'prepper' porn of the genre.

Interesting characters but its a short story and feels very unfinished on purpose, more or less half a book.

Lots of ups and downs in the storyline. sad and full of action too. There is all the elements in this book. There’s fights that breakout and won by kids protecting family and strangers. Drug dealers, grocery clerks overcharging for food and supplies, airplane crashes, car accidents and more. Miles Meili, the narrator, is easy to listen to. I believe you would enjoy Lone Survivor

There were some annoying character choices and sad moments but that's pretty standard. Overall I found the story realistic. The scenario plays out and the characters survive through will and common sense. They were not overly prepared as in some stories but I think their story is indicative of what survivors who were not preppers would face. The main character starts off as being overly confident and foolish but learns/adapts quickly.

I did enjoy listening to this book. Loved the characters of Beth a gutsy girl, her dog Grisly and not sure of Landon yet. But with all series you need to listen to next one. Beth has been very busy rescuing Landon, getting deer meat, killing evil men, burying her parents and Ella, Landon's daughter all as he recovers. But felt it was short but it is a series after all but great narration.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Thank you
