Great Book, I can't wait for more

This is a great book in the post-apocalyptic genre.
survival at all costs in many different ways and the plots weave in and out.
I am looking forward to more books in this series.

Acceptance and survival!

We’ve been here before, the premise that Russia attacks the United States from the west and China from the east. EMP’s follow as the coup de grâce, and the United States is left in chaos and terror. Three years into the war, civilian survivors are becoming tired of running, hiding, and fighting. Mental exhaustion, despair, and panic settle in. Self-preservation can cause unexpected and unusual behavior in people. People who were your friends suddenly become your enemy. This first volume of the series revolves around such behavior. The war is not going well, people are giving up, trading their freedom for sustenance and comfort. History can and will repeat itself. Outlaws

This is not your typical EMP book by Jack Hunt has more military component. The US as well as other countries are bombed and EMP occurs thru the Midwest and Chinese troops are taking over the small towns. People are tortured, starved and killed. The primary character is Miles; he is only in his 20’s and does more for the people than the national guards. There a couple more good characters which agree with Miles and willing to help. Look forward to next book to see if Miles survives as several people want him dead. I was given this free review copy audiobook and have voluntarily left this review. THANK YOU

Great Start to a New Series

"I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."

I very much enjoyed the first book in this new series. Writing was excellent as was the narration. There’s violence, but absolutely not over the top. In my mind the best part is the identification and development of relevant factions, with a fair amount of unanswered questions at the end of this first installment.

As new books are released I will definitely be investing credits to follow along.

Great Book 1 for the Series

I was given this free review copy audio-book at my request and have voluntarily left this review. This review is for the audio copy of Chaos Erupts - A Post-Apocalyptic EMP Survival Thriller (Outlaws of the Midwest, Book 1) by Jack Hunt and narrated by Chris Monteiro. This was a very good book 1 to the start of a TEOTWAWKI series. A little bit of a change up since it starts with everything down and an invading force in control of the area already. It moves quickly into much action, character development is good. And apparently no one is safe from being killed off in the book. The series has lots of potential. The narration was good for the story too. Chris is now the voice for this series as far as I am concerned. I am anxiously awaiting book 2.

Very Interesting Premise...

To be honest, this was hard to listen to. The beginning was slow and, the narrator was hard to get used to but, after more than a few chapters into the audiobook it began to get really interesting.

Overall it is a really good story though some parts were predictable and some parts were just too far fetched. Having said that, I'm glad that I bought the audiobook and listened to it.

If you like this review, as well as, the audiobook's description than by all means buy a copy and enjoy it for yourself.

This is my honest opinion and review of this audiobook.
