About this listen

Two years after being airlifted out of war-torn Vietnam, Matt Pin is haunted: by bombs, by the family - and terrible secret - he left behind. Now, inside a caring adoptive home in the United States, a series of events force him to choose between silence and candor, blame and forgiveness, fear and freedom.

Would you consider the audio edition of All the Broken Pieces to be better than the print version?

This is a 'book in verse' the narrator did a great job reading and it was nice to listen to, he even sang one part that was a song.

What did you like best about this story?

The story was very well written and my son loved the tie in with baseball.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It almost made me cry. It was so real life.

Any additional comments?

Great book for my 6th grader who loves baseball and interested in history and war. It did leave you hanging and I wonder if there is a second book. If there is we will get it since we are wondering what happens next.

Great book for myself and my middleschooler

The reader was emphasizing words that I couldn’t see coming, even when I was reading along in my paperback copy! But it was overall a really good job, coodos to the reader! Thank you
