About this listen
Brought to you by Penguin.
Dark academia meets horror in this gripping fantasy series which is perfect for fans of Leigh Bardugo's NINTH HOUSE.
HELL IS EMPTY AND ALL THE DEVILS ARE AT RAVENSWOOD ACADEMY . . .
Mourning the sudden death of her sister, Andy Emmerson knows she must come to terms with a life without Violet. But on the day of the funeral Andy is shocked to discover one thing: the person in that casket is not her sister.
Violet is alive.
Convinced her sister's elite boarding school is covering up the truth, Andy enrols at Ravenswood Academy to discover what really happened and find Violet.
The school is as beautiful and haunting as the students within it and Andy learns that it's not just good grades that drives these pupils. Something much darker is at play.
After discovering a cryptic note from her sister, Andy must follow a set of clues to unlock the truth. This will bring her into contact with secret societies, ancient magic, demons and monsters. And a charming senior named Jae Han who has his own reasons for finding out what happened to Violet . . .
Soon Andy realizes the price she must pay to bring her sister home is darker and more dangerous than she ever could have imagined.
'All the Devils is eerie, intense, and mysterious with immersive world building and mythology. The fast pace kept me turning pages, and I’d follow Jae pretty much anywhere' Stacia Stark, bestselling author of the Kingdom of Lies series

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Story
Newlywed Sam has always wanted to be a part of a normal happy family. When her mother-in-law falls ill, Sam dutifully moves her family to Edenic Camillia Island to care for her. The island residents, namely the older women, welcome Sam and her daughter Emma with open arms, endless cocktails, and plenty of superstition. It seems perfect until it’s not. The house next to her mother-in-law’s is creepy—not only that, it’s where Ben’s first wife died. Sam’s teen daughter Emma isn’t interested in spending the summer in Camilia. It gets even worse when Emma starts to see things.

You can’t kill someone who’s already dead. That’s what Lavinia keeps telling her jailer after—allegedly—killing her mistress, Simone Arceneau. But how could Simone be dead when she was taking callers just a few minutes before? And why was her house always so dark? The last thing I expected when I married at twenty-two was to remain a virgin at twenty-four. My husband didn’t want me; he married me out of obligation rather than love, and I thought nothing could hurt worse than that. But my solution, marriage counseling, was only the beginning. The first time I saw Shane, I knew I was boarding an express bus to hell because my husband never made me feel a flicker of that spark, and that was before we shook hands.

annoying girl but I'm obsessed
The main character girl was kind of annoying in the beginning, but by the end of the book, I might be totally obsessed with her (i am)... there were a couple of revelations in this book that I genuinely gasped out loud at. i will be listening to the second book whenever it comes out 8.5/10 I am excited to see where this series goes!

Dark Academia meets Hades and Persephone
Really surprised me how much I enjoyed this book. A lot of DA is being marketed as such without actually being DA, I’m looking at you A Study In Drowning. And this one not was fulfilled the DA slot but added in the Underworld and Gods. It was one I found myself hitting play for the next chapter more than once.
