Have you ever listened to a book and the entire time you listen to it you just know the main characters are making terrible choices. It’s like a car accident you can see coming from miles away but can’t stop it. That’s this book.

I loved Luna in book one. She seemed so smart and reasonable but somehow in book 2 she decided to make the worst decisions and then is surprised when things go bad.

Knowing this was rejected mates I was not interested in any of the many copious steamy scenes. If anything they made me dislike Maddox even more.

We got practically no Jackson in this book which was a serious shame. The entire purpose of this book seemed to be to mislead the readers, try to make them fall for the wrong guy and then rip the rug out.

Hopefully book 3 makes up for this book. And please give us some steamy scenes of our actual end game couple.

Alpha Bound picks up where Luna Rising ends off. I feel for Luna and I can understand Jackson's reasoning for rejecting her, but it doesn't make the matter any less craptastic! I love Maddox and he may be the only reason I am not raging at Jackson because I can not help but root for Maddox. I love the world building in this series, it helps with drawing in my attention for the long haul. I have been having trouble finishing books I've started recently, but this one got me out of my slump! I will totally pick up Book 3 when it comes out in audible! I would rec this book to anyone who loves PNR, shifter romance. BUT be warned this ending will leave you an emotional wasteland. I wanna cry for Luna.

This book is AMAZING. I couldn't put it down.

This book has drama, action, suspense and OMG steamy scenes. I enjoyed every minute of it. But be aware you will need to get book three asap because this ends in a cliffhanger too and you won't imagine how intense the ending is.

I love the way everything unravels and how love and family is a big focus in this book. I just notice there are many more books in this series but sadly book three is not out yet. If you can wait until book three is out, I highly recommend it because right now am freaking out!!! OMG... know what?!?!?

So I enjoyed book 1 but it hadn't grabbed me like some of the other stories by this author has done in this amazing world she has created, BUT book 2 certainly did. The story really ramps up and we finally get more pieces to the puzzle that the author is leaving us breadcrumbs and boy I was so sucked into the story, I had a tough time not wanting to bail out of work early to listen to the finale today haha.

I so ship Maddox and Luna but I knew it wasn't going to be easy/had a feeling it wasn't going to end the way we all wanted, it was too easy based on what this author has done to some of the other characters in this world haha. She never makes the love story a quick and easy one, there has to be roadblocks, tragedies, etc. to keep us on our toes! I loved seeing their love grow and develop, loved how domineering and alpha Maddox was, so steamy and yummy :) I liked seeing Luna step up and all the side characters and cameos and mentions in this book regarding characters and Easter eggs from the previous series'. I will say I loved seeing Remy and her guys, but I might have missed it but where has been my favorite demon. He was mentioned but he has been the only one not really present. I am intrigued to see how Jackson and Nova are after the ending of the book, with their assignments, and especially after the bombs that were dropped by the bad guys at the end. I am dying for book 3 already on audio so I can know how everyone puts themselves back together after the shockers at the end of this book. I won't give away any spoilers, but it was definitely a doozy! I really liked the pace of this book, the plot was spot on, and the sexy, steamy scenes were amazing. I am worried how things will pan out in book 3, especially since its the end of this trilogy. A lot of things to tie together in not a lot of pages left, but I trust this author to end it spectacularly.

Narration was well done again. Meg Price has really done a great job in all the audiobooks I have listened to her do recently. She is definitely on my auto-listen list. I liked having a male narrator this time, it was interesting to see how he did Jackson vs Maddox haha. A couple chapters I had to adjust my speed (I was at 1.5X speed, with 1-2 chapters with Maddox as the POV I had to bring it down to 1.35X because he was randomly reading quickly haha). The emotions in this one were high and the narrators did a great job getting into character and bringing them to life. That ending...the emotion made me stop in my tracks, I had to stop making dinner because of both narrators and their amazing performances. Only thing I can say is sometimes I was wishing it was duet because the narrators were obviously trying to do the other sex and it wasn't quite right, but still overall I thought it was done well!

This one took a different turn. I did not love it nor hate it but it just seemed to go off I to left field. I really feel sorry for Luna as it seems nothing is going her way. I came to love Maddox and his family and her too but this really became twisted and mean. I cared for the well being of these characters and the author just keeps tearing them down. I was eager to get back into their story to find out what happened after the last book. This one too ends with a cliffhanger.

What I enjoyed was another narrator was brought in to be the male voices. That added a different look to the story. Meg Price still did amazing. Matthew Winchester was a pleasant surprise.

I guess I skipped book 1 and went straight to book 2. Even if I start with book 2, I can honest say that I don’t think I miss much from book 1. So there’s a cliffy in this book and I’m not sure if I like it so much lol. Meg and Matthew did an amazing job at narrating this book.

This is the second story in the "Shadow Legacies" series. The series consists of three stories: "Luna Rising", "Alpha Bound" and "Alpha Born". They need to be read in order. This one picks up with where the last one leaves and ends with an epic cliffhanger. There is a lot going on in the paranormal read. It is an emotional roller coaster read that keeps you captivated in the story. I like the characters as well. A very intriguing and interesting story-line and I look forward to reading the next one to see how everything wraps up.

Sloan Murphy kills it again!

I absolutely love Sloan’s books, and I love how this is a Next -Gen to characters we already know and love. Absolutely loved Shadow Walker Saga but this. This may have won it for me over that one.

Amazing characters, so much growth, development, personality to each character. Every single one is memorable even supporting characters. They are all unique, original and are so intriguing. I love their chemistry and dynamic. The banter is awesome and their relationships are everything! They are captivating and I love how they come together to get through their trials and roadblocks. The worlds Sloan build are amazing. Much like the character’s its original, her interpretation and creativity know no bounds and its interesting seeing it all come to life.

So much to explore and learn with everything in this world. I was transported into a new world I wanted to keep exploring. So creative yet everything is still easily identifiable so you don’t get lost in what is going on around you. The plot is amazing and I enjoyed every high and low and everything in between. I’m curious to see if Sloan will bring us more stories from characters of this world in the future. I hope she does is all I have to say.
