Publisher's summary

Dahlia kept her powers a secret for most of her life before she was captured. Years after her escape she once again finds herself falling into the wrong hands—right before finding herself in some extra-large lycan hands. Shifters are real, and the Alpha wolf wants to make her his. Does he have what it takes to keep her safe? Can he protect her from herself?

When Gideon’s path crosses with a feisty earth-wielding Celestial, he’s forced to choose between what is best for the pack, or for himself. He barely has time to deal with his unruly wolf and mountain of responsibilities, let alone a mate. His loyalties are put to the test when a family friend proposes a union of their packs…by marriage. Can he choose duty over destiny?

Loving This Series

I cannot wait for the next book!

This is an excellently written, exceptionally interesting twist to the mythology of the shifter genre. I'm loving the world building; the characters are strong and compelling, and I cannot wait to see what happens next.

Mostly I really enjoyed the narration, but the quality difference between the male and female audio was very noticeable because of them choosing to use the female's voice for all the female spoken parts and vice versa no matter which character was narrating the chapter; this was a bit jarring and broke me from the story more than once. I don't think it would be as noticeable from chapter to chapter, but inside the chapters when the tone/quality switches mid-page, it's very evident.

Even better than Book 1!

I didn’t think I could fall more in love with the pack, but I was wrong! I was able to read this in one sitting because I just could not stop!! The new characters coming into the story fit perfectly in with the characters we already know and love (or love to hate), and I honestly can’t wait to read the rest of the series!.

Alpha and Ivy

Dahlia was held captive years before and she tries to not be caught out again. She gets asked to go out with a friend and is stood up. She is accosted by an unsavory person but rescued by an unknown woman. She goes with the lady to a party and meets Gideon there. The party is for his sister. Dahlia and Gideon leave together. They are taken and when he comes to, his wolf recognizes her as his mate. Meanwhile Brona, and Romany rush to help their alpha and his mate. The male is startled because as far as he knew his alpha was unmated but the seer explains that he is now after meeting her but she is also a celestial! Will they be able to weather the dangers that come or the pack shenanigans.
Stella Hunter, Ryan West bring the characters of Gideon and Dahlia to life with their renditions of the two.
A fantastic audio to listen and be transported to a world beyond.

Great characters & plot

This second installment of the series was great! The characters were well- developed and the pacing of the plot was very consistent. I did get a little overwhelmed having so many side characters, but I enjoyed all their individual personalities. I'm looking forward to future books with their stories because even the secondary characters are developed enough that is fun to see them again from the first book.

Stella and Ryan give a wonderful performance and they are becoming a favorite pairing. It is done in duet so if that isn't your jam know that going in. I loved it though.

Emotion, drama, steam, twists, action & humor

Dahlia and Gideon's story was very engaging. I quickly found myself deeply invested as this smartly crafted story unfolds. The combination of emotion, drama, steam, twists, action, humor, romance, heart and intensity is lush and irresistible. I found the narrator's voice pleasing and the performance given well done.

So good!!

Loved it just as much as the first book! There was even more action in this one. I loved seeing and getting to know repeat characters, especially the main couple from the first book. A few unexpected twists kept me enthralled. Same great narrators too. Ready to jump into book 3!!

Scorching shifter story

- Shifter romance
- Alpha
- Fated mates
- Who did this to you?

Whew, this series is absolutely amazing. This is the second book in the Chosen Shifter Mates series and it is a scorcher. I read the audio version and the narrators made this book that much more enjoyable.

We met Gideon, the alpha of the Ulric pack, in the first book where it was revealed that he was looking for a mate. He has been restless and is wanting to start a family.

Dahlia is a dancer who has some plant magic. She is meet a friend at a club in a nearby town. However, she runs into a bit of trouble and Gideon's sister Aria rescues her.

MINE - Gideon's wolf immediately reacts when they see Dahlia. But it is soon apparent that the same group that took Nova previously has taken an interest in Dahlia. Why? What is it about her?

Now Gideon needs to convince Dahlia that they are meant to be together. But can he keep her safe?

I am eagerly looking forward to reading the next book.

addicted to this series!

🅰🆄🅳🅸🅾🅱🅾🅾🅺 🆁🅴🆅🅸🅴🆆

This is my 2nd book by Violet Taylor and her books suck me right in. She picked 2 of my favorite voices to narrate this series: Ryan West and Stella Hunter. I could listen to them both every day.

The book continues the overall ARC book 1 started, now Gideon is the one who finds his fated mate.
Dahlia is a celestial who is instantly attracted and drawn to Gideon, the alpha of his pack.

What I most enjoy about this series is that it's an easy read (or listen). Not too much drama but just enough that I didn't want to stop listening until the very end. I really love the world building as well as all the secondary characters. I kinda want all their stories!

Great twist I didn't see coming with Dahlia but I loved it!

Really excited to listen to book 3 next!
