About this listen

Lisa and Matt can't believe their luck. They have a dream house and a dream marriage, and very soon they'll have a dream family too. But life is rarely that simple. When their beautiful life is rocked by tragedy, they are forced to make an unbearable choice. Suddenly the future they've built together looks fragile and exposed.

With aching hearts and their love on the line, they set off on a road trip through the stunning Californian landscape, hoping that time - and distance from the life they thought perfect - will help them start again. Matt is desperate not to lose Lisa, but as they confront their grief in different ways, he may have lost her already.

Where there is love there ought to be strength, but this love has been tested to its limits. Have they endured too much heartbreak for one couple to take? Or will a journey down memory lane put them back on the road to love, hope - and each other?

Sappy romance, sweet with dreams for lovers. Love the great dogs. My favorite part mostly. D.Page

This is an amazing novel about love and loss. It has me thinking about what life will give me and how I will handle it. I highly recommend this novel to all married couples.

A very real story about love and marriage. Satisfying ending after so much tragedy and heartbreak.

For better or for worse.

Maybe things improved as though the story went on, but I quit listening because it was just too much.

Dreary

I thought I'd like this book, but I didn't.....I found it boring, sappy and a bit depressing. The narrator even gave the main character a whiny sort of voice. I was actually relieved when it was over. Glad I didn't have to pay for it.

A waste of time!

This was the most depressing book I've listened to. I skipped through about 7 chapters overt halfway through hoping it would get better, but it did not.

Depressing story

The story was so boring . Matt loves Lisa so so much. I get it, everyone gets it.
Maybe this story is based on personal experiences, because it is hard for me to believe that a wife would be angry with her husband for choosing her life over their unborn child.
I just might be too cynical. There is no way I would beg someone to PLEASE come back to me. Both Matt and Lisa were on my last nerve!
I did not like this book . I finished it because I thought that it would get better....

Boring and so so sappy .

I couldn’t wait to finish this book so I skipped 5 chapters as it was grueling to listen to. Each emotion was carried out too long and the whole book was about one person and her heart break. Granted one could feel for this woman, a sad story but should have been a short story. Too much crying for me.

Too long and dramatic
