About this listen

Even though her classmates discourage Grace from trying out for Peter Pan in the school play because she is black and a girl, Grace wins the part and proves that she can be anything she wants to be.

Empowering Story for Little Girls

Grace is an imaginative, lively, and determined little girl. The story is short and sweet. Having only listened to it on Audible I can’t say how it compares to the story WITH illustrations but my 4 & 6 year enjoyed listening and it sparked a conversation about things they can and will do that are sometimes perceived to be “boys only”.
