A warm and fuzzy read, such a good story!

Amish Homecoming was such a good read (listen). We follow David through his rumspringa and watch as he matures and learns some lessons. The ending is just wonderful and heartwarming. The narrator was so good, too. She changed her voice masterfully which just makes an audiobook come alive. 😊 I am required to say that I was given a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. However, I highly recommend this Amish romance.

Nicely done

This is a story of a young man and his struggle to find himself and where his faith fits in. The story moves quickly and the characters are sweet. It addresses the age old question of ‘why do bad things happen to good people’.
I received this audiobook for free and have chosen to give my honest review.

Learning Purpose of One’s.Life

Amish.Homecoming....Becca.Fisher
David..knew tthat the Amish was a life simple and plain. He was at the age he could still experiment the world. He felt like he didn’t belong, or what his purpose was..Ruth and David are talking about how bad things happen to good people. That at any age people still question things, to remind them of what heaven will be like. To do the best they can here. The narration by Kiya Emery was good and clear, making this an enjoyable story to listen to.
Given ARC audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Amish Homecoming

David wanted to experience life in the big city. When everything started to crumble he thought maybe it was a sign... when his Mam was in an accident, he knew he needed to head home. A chance meeting may just be the sign he was looking for on how he should proceed.

This is a sweet short story by Becca Fisher and narrated by Kiya Embry. A quick listen that left me with a warm feeling.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Faith in the face of real life

David feels out of place in the Amish community and uses the opportunity of Rumspringa to live the life he had dreamed of. He eats, drinks, and makes merry while watching movies and enjoying electricity. Then he gets dumped by his girlfriend, loses his job, and is told that his mother has been in an accident. He rushes home to focus on his mother and learns a lot about his past that had led to him feeling disconnected. He also meets a girl.

The narrator did a very good job of making each character distinct and memorable.

Bottom line: Good book

Enjoyable read

Amish Homecoming, my third read from Christian author Becca Fisher. If there's a problem with this book it’s that it's so short, you want stories/books longer so you can enjoy them for a longer time. This said I have to say that the author packed a lot into the pages of this short romance. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reading & reviewing it. Kiya Embry’s excellent narration adds to the book's enjoyment. I'll be reading more from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Sweet story, homecoming and finding oneself

Quick listen. David wanted his independence outside the Amish community. When he returned for a family emergency, he found what he was actually looking for. He was a sweet young man and willing to make changes in his thinking. I loved Sadie and how she stood by her principles. The narrator, Kiya Embry, did a great job keeping the voices distinct and brought the story to life.

I received a copy of this audiobook as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.
