While traveling through Manhattan on the way back to her Amish community, young Amanda Beiler is struck by a limousine. The limo's passenger, Cuban-born superstar Alejandro Diaz, takes responsibility for her injuries and vows to oversee her recovery. Leaving the fame circuit behind, Alejandro returns Amanda to her family in Lititz, Pennsylvania.
Desperate for a break from the stress of the spotlight, the famous singer offers to stay on the family farm for a week to help - an offer guardedly accepted by the deeply religious kin who surround and protect Amanda. As different as they are, she and Alejandro find that a genuine friendship begins to blossom, along with the realization that it might be something more. But if the paparazzi get wind of the superstar's whereabouts, will they threaten the peace of the faithful community for a sensational story? And in the glare of an unwelcome spotlight, and with the unexpected feelings between them, can this couple build a lasting bridge between their vastly different worlds?

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Have already recommended this one to many people. It's quite different from the other books I have listened to in this genre. It not only captures the Amish culture but the fast paced life of a Latin superstar. What was one of the most memorable moments of Plain Fame?
Alejandro at the farm and gaining acceptance from Elias, Amanda's father. What does Amy McFadden bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Really, really great accents. I'm amazed at how well she does with the Cuban accent of Viper and changes to the Amish accent and then nails the snooty voice and accent of some of the people who look down on Amanda.Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It made me want more. I was not going to buy the next book because I really do not like romance novels but this one intrigued me and I bought the second book. I just finished it and have bought the 3rd book!Any additional comments?
This one is really worth the read. I did't spend a credit because it didn't cost that much so I bought it and the next and the next. I keep thinking that I will get bored with this series but I have to find out what is next so I keep purchasing the next one book. Not Just Another Amish Story

What was most disappointing about Sarah Price’s story?
I found this story to be a bit juvenile in the plot line and the writing. The abrupt ending felt like a cheap ploy to force you into buying into the series. I am not going to fall for that one! Lastly you can't tell me that Alejandro wouldn't fire his manager for manipulating him for publicity sake. Not believable! What aspect of Amy McFadden’s performance would you have changed?
I think Amy did a fine job with the content she had to work with.Plain Fame is just Plain Boring
