About this listen

“There’s no time. Remember, I love you.” It all started with a discovery. A cave beneath a waterfall that held a crystal. Two boys—best friends—embark on a journey they’re told will help all mankind. As the years go by, their friendship turns to love, and their adventure turns into a battle.

Drew Langly is the keeper of the crystal. With his contact, the crystal allows them to jump to different timestreams and help, if they can, to further that society or fix anything that improves their lives. When he’s ripped from the timestream, it’s the beginning of what will change everything they’ve come to know about how the different timestreams function.

Colby Adams is Drew’s boyfriend, fellow traveler, and jump partner. When Drew is left vulnerable after a failed jump, he’s there to help and try to figure out what went wrong. They soon discover another team of travelers is in trouble, but they’ve been warned against trusting them.

The more they learn, the more they realize everything has been a lie. To rewrite a history that’s been full of deceit, they’ll need to put their trust, once again, in strangers. Can they rewind it all and begin again? Experience the history they were always meant to? With some unconventional help, maybe.

I really enjoyed this book. It was suspenseful, mysterious, and intriguing. I liked both Drew and Colby. Figuring out what was happening and who to trust kept me in rapt attention.

I think Curtis Michael did a great job bringing these characters to life. I've listened to a number of BL Maxwell's audiobooks with four other narrators, but I liked Curtis's voice the best.

I love BL Maxwell, and I enjoy SciFi, and when both came together in this book, I just had to get it! I loved the take on time/dimension travel that is taken, I love how we find out everything along with the characters, but we are not left floundering or thinking “why are they doing this?”. It actually makes sense, it’s well explained without going into unnecessary details or delving into the ancient question of “is time linear?”, and “can different dimensions coexist?”. It was a fast book, and I loved how unique each voice was. I recommend it.

I loved this book. Curtis Michael's voice really brings this story to life. What happens when your memory is taken from you. Of how you jumped with your best friend and lover. Colby does everything he can to help Drew remember and safe from enemies. Can Drew and Colby defy the odds and with their new friends defeat the true enemy and save all the timestreams?

What a wonderful story by BL Maxwell. This book is part of a multi-authored series called Beyond the Realm: Remember. I will definitely have to pick up some of the other stories to see if they're as good.

This "new to me" narrator, Curtis Michael, did a fantastic job with this book. I never wanted it to end.

When I saw this audiobook, by this author, on Booksprout I couldn't grab it quick enough.

It all started with a cave behind a waterfall and a crystal. I am definitely going to listen to this again since I enjoyed it so much. I hope the author plans to make a series out of this book because I'm here for it. I love the weird and the wonderful and this author never lets me down.

If you are looking for a book with a lot of spice this one is not it. If you are looking for a book with a very unique storyline then here you go.

Childhood friends, manipulated for 40 years, can they thwart the evil and make things right again

Time streams untangled!!!

I loved all of the adventures that happened in this book. The fact that they knew that they were mates and knowing how important they are in the world being saved. I really enjoyed all of the different characters and how well they all fit together. The ending was wonderful because they put a stop to the bad for now, hopefully forever. I definitely recommend this book/audiobook to everyone who loves mm mystery stories with some heart too.

Wonderful story!

Great audiobook, for someone that want a action packed book for a quiet Sunday evening. A time traveling story with lots of story but not much character development.

Amos Ridge is B L Maxwell's contribution to the Beyond the Realm Remembers series. I'd read the book a bit ago and decided 'why not', give it a listen. Unfortunately, the audiobook did little to enhance the read. Curtis Michael seemed to have a squeaky mode, a monotone mode and an Irish accent. Off with the headphones, this almost became a DNF.
The story itself is an interesting concept. Time travelers who watch over mankind and assist only when necessary. An early 90's TV series, Quantum Leap, had the same premise. TV did it a lot better, sorry BL.
Lots of time jumping, and highly angsty. At times a bit confusing. Colby and Drew were young and in love when they started jumping. A time slip, Drew is gone and when we meet him, he has no idea that he was a Traveler. And didn't remember his lover. It was clever to have his job be a cab driver.
Colby finds his man. Drew goes from suspicious to 'hello, I know you' quickly. Didn't get great chemistry vibes from the pair. Every time Colby called Drew his 'love', I cringed.
There's a 'bad man', a scientist who wants to take over the crystals which enable the jumps. The storyline is chaotically paced and when they meet fellow Travelers, it just adds to the mess.
The problem solution and and remediation of the timelines was too pat. Sweet that they got their HEA, but... nah, didn't do it for me.
Story concept was a five. Narration was a negative two. That the story is by an author whose work I admire ups it a star.
