About this listen
Vampire hunter Elena Deveraux knows she's the best - but she doesn't know if she's good enough for this job. Hired by the dangerously beautiful Archangel Raphael, a being so lethal that no mortal wants his attention, only one thing is clear - failure is not an option... even if the task she's been set is impossible. Because this time, it's not a wayward vamp she has to track. It's an archangel gone bad.
The job will put Elena in the midst of a killing spree like no other, and pull her to the razor's edge of passion. Even if the hunt doesn't destroy her, succumbing to Raphael's seductive touch just may. Because when archangels play, mortals break.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Loved reading it, Loved listening to it
I loved hearing the accents of the characters. When I read it I didn’t have accents to relate to. I just love this series and the stories Nalini shares AMAZING! Can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series.

Great book, bad narrator
What did you love best about Angels' Blood?
The story is really well written. The action scenes, the sex scenes, the dialogues. Everything keeps you on the edge of your seat.
What did you like best about this story?
The paranormal world created by Nalini Singh is very interesting, and the love between Elena and Raphael, how they both change and are willing to risk everything for each other, it's really moving. Elena is a great heroin. Easy to love, tough, fun, real, in a way the reader can really relate to. And Raphael is extremely sexy, dangerous, a real badass anti-hero.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Justine Eyre?
Susan Eriksen
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
No idea :P
Any additional comments?
Hated the narration. She has a great voice, but just doesn't bring any emotion to her sentences. Sounds like she's reading a manual or something equally boring. I've been listening to a lot of audiobooks narrated by Susan Eriksen, and it's completely different. There's acting, there's emotion. Justine Eyre just repeats the words like a robot.

Drama!
So much drama. It is a good read between heavier bigger books. it's romantic and infuriating and perfect for two days when you just want to be in a different world for a little while.

Love discovering new series!!!!
I love series. Getting to know your favourite characters more and more every book. Having an opportunity to find out the story of the secondary characters that always capture us but are not the focus of the story. For all these reasons and so many more ... I love series. I have just discovered Nalini Singh and her Archangel Series and wow what a find. Add to the wonderful depth of the story and the fantastic characters she creats, the fantastic naration by Justine Eyre and its a flawless combination. I listened to all three back to back and cannot wait for the next installment.
Highly recommend this series, writer and narrator!!

Perfect!
I actually discovered this series via Justine Eyre, she narrated another book that I purchased. She is a perfect narrator, adding another dimension to a book. Angel's blood is a gateway book into the world of Nalini Singh. I started with this book and loved her writing style so much I have now purchase pretty much every book she has written and become a peddler to family and friend who like fantasy novels. I am not going into the storyline because I think it's best to discover this series without any spoilers, however if you like author's like Gena Showalter, Eve Langalis you will enjoy this series.

Not much to engage
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Someone who is interested in erotic fiction laced with a very slight story line.
Has Angels' Blood turned you off from other books in this genre?
NO, I like most of the fantasy books I have listened to.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Angels' Blood?
The sex scenes

Angels 1, Vampires nasty, Humans . . . expendable
Would you try another book from Nalini Singh and/or Justine Eyre?
Justine Eyre is a delight to listen to. Thanks to her reading I stuck it out for far longer than I would otherwise have done. It's a pity I couldn't find anything else in the catalogue that she has read that isn't a romance. Wouldn't bother with Nalini Singh. The story line was promising but by about quarter of the way through I was finding the the book more and more distasteful. Pleasure was only linked to fear and pain, killing was excessive and random and the romance was thinly disguised rape or the promise thereof. It is probably trying to be an up to date bodice ripper and obviously it appealed to other listeners but I would have liked human beings to have some value and love to be on an equal power base. Just saying.
Has Angels' Blood turned you off from other books in this genre?
No. I love the vampire/ vampire hunter genre. Still listening and enjoying.

50 shades of angels
You know that a relationship is unhealthy, if you replace the hot guy with an ugly one. Then it becomes a creep-story with a stalker. I am disturbed that so many ppl find this a good story.
