Story
Compiled by intrepid journalist Neve Pride, this archive of recordings spans the months after dragons emerged on earth, chronicling the communities that sprang up amid the destruction, the scientists, military leaders, and experts searching for a defense, and those steadfastly seeking the missing. Neve and her young daughter Bex travel among the wreckage speaking to those left behind and surviving, against all odds. Neve records everything for history, and in the hopes of locating a clue as to where the dragons came from and how one might stop them.

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Story
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he’s alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Story
For some it’s an opportunity. For others it’s a moment to question their faith: In God, in science, in everything. Still others try to keep the world running in the face of absurdity and uncertainty. And then there are the billions looking to the sky and wondering how a thing that was always just there is now... something absolutely impossible.

Ok for the most part
I thought the story line was more for 11-12 year olds, but the action was good and it kept me entertained

I'm hoping the 9 Lives are used up
I had high expectations of this as I'm a fan of most of the cast! I found it to be overt and inappropriate much of the time. The writers preoccupation with all things sexual was annoying to me. But hey...sex sells, right? Can't POSSIBLY have a story in the modern age without it...right?
Sadly I found the acting over the top...which makes me feel bad for saying because I just love the cast...OUTSIDE OF ANNE MANX that is.

Campy fun, especially for B5 fans
Fun silly adventure, don't take it too seriously and you'll enjoy it. Features Claudia Christian and Patricia Tallman of Babylon 5 fame as a pair of cops on opposite sides of a power-grab plot.

Stupid
I keep trying to listen to this story and I find myself turing it off as the stupidity mounts. It's supposed to be funny, but the humor doesn't fit the story. Furthermore, the humor doesn't fit the age range of the intended reader... It's more like humor style from the "Honeymooners" or "I Love Lucy" TV show couched in what tries to be an adult sci-fi novel... I only found myself annoyed enough to turn it off.

One of the best in a long time
Make no mistake about it, this is a first-rate audio drama. There have been many attempts at science fiction comedy, some good and some not so good. This is one of the best around, on par with such greats as "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy." The script is fast-moving and amazingly funny, and if you blink at the wrong time, you'll miss some real gems. This is a script worth paying close attention to!
The characters are wonderful. In their own ways, they are all nicely eccentric, and their peculiarities play off each other to create amazingly funny situations.
A good story is brought to life by absolutely brilliant performances. It's hard to find words to describe the quality of the acting, especially by stars Claudia Christian and Patricia Tallman. The entire cast is clearly enjoying themselves in this performance, and does it ever come through!
All in all, there's a real energy in this program that carries the listener along. A fun story, interesting characters, and actors who clearly enjoy their work make this worth listening to.

Fun and entertaining!
This is by far the best audio production I have heard in a long time. It's a clever and funny take on the "future film noir" theme and has some very unexpected laugh-out-loud moments. Great characters. WARNING: Not for all sci-fi fans since it is often irreverent and plays fast and loose with the genre. But if you can take the heat it's a good time in the kitchen!
