I recommend this book.

I enjoyed this audio book by Karen. This book includes passion, laughs, heartache, secrets, and betrayal.

Years ago Gabe and April dated. Gabe wanted to settle down and get married but April was scared. She told him she was taking a job in Singapore and since he didn’t ask her to stay she left. By the time she returned Gabe was dating and getting ready to marry her sister Vanessa. So she buried her feelings and moved on with her life.

Eight months ago April’s sister was in a car accident with a co-worker and died. Before she passed she told April a secret about her daughter Stephie that could destroy Gabe. Vanessa made April promise that she would never tell Gabe the secret.

Gabe is taking care of his daughter and grieving the loss of his wife. His sister-in-law April, has come to help take care of Stephie while she is on vacation. When they are together at first the relationship is strained. April still loves Gabe but she holds a secret that could shatter the budding relationship between them. She thinks that Gabe loves her but sometimes he just treats her like a friend. She is confused about how they should be around each other.

When his best friend takes an interest in April Gabe gets angry and warns April away. April knows Nicholas and they are just friends but does she secretly want Gabe to be jealous? Will April being friends with Nicholas hurt her relationship with Gabe?

When Gabe finds out the secret will the pain and hurt from that secret destroy all that they thought they had together? Or will Gabe and April finally get the HEA they have both dreamed of?

A story of young love, plans they each wanted to do before marriage. Promises were made is it best to break or will it be another break up. Enjoyable, and I liked the narration by Peppers, which added to the story.
