About this listen

When the bandages come off, what will he see?

Logan Phillips didn't expect to like his nurse, let alone find himself attracted to her. But Melissa VanFleet's gentle humor and sweet spirit soothes the architect's frustration at his temporary blindness. He finds she's tempting him down a road he's sworn never again to travel.

But a little TLC can go a long way. Melissa realizes immediately that she would never fit into Logan's exclusive world. So when she finds herself falling for her patient, she knows she's in trouble. Once his vision is restored, she's certain he won't look twice at a plain Jane like her...but she'd love to be wrong!

I have all of Susan Mallery's Audio.com books. I enjoy listening to her books more than once, expecially in the car.

I especially enjoyed the story line of this book. Highly recommend this love story.

Susan Mallery- Always a good choice

The story wasn't bad but was a struggle to listen to the narrator. She's horrible.

Horrible narrator

This was a great, light romance although I am confused as to who actually wrote it. It says Susan Mallery wrote it but the narrator says that Carly Phillips wrote it. Either way it was a fun read. The narrator was a little annoying but not enough to make me not want to listen.

Great book for light reading...

While this story was average, and I really like Susan Mallory but the choice of Gayle Hendrix as a narrator Wes a HUGE mistake. I listened to parts of the book simply because I had downloaded it and it was the only book available when I was in a flight. I won’t buy or listen to a book narrated by Ms Hendrix ever again.

Worst narrator ever!

I like most of Susan Mallery's books with few exceptions, I did not like this one. It's obvious that this is an early work based on the clothing that is described, it was funny at first but once the novelty wears off it's just hard to buy into. The word that kept popping into my head as I listened to this book was plodding, the build up to romance is endless! Another thing that has always bothered me about SM is her male leads unbending and unrealistic feelings toward women based on past experiences, the lead in this book is the worst by far. A bad marriage has convinced him that all women are decitful liars, hard to believe that an intelligent man would feel that way.

Susan Mallery before she learned to write.

Either this was Susan Mallery’s worst book or maybe there are more bad ones I haven’t read yet. The writing was slow and boring and horrible, the performance Hendrix was truly painful to listen to. I finally skipped ahead 6 or 7 chapters just to hear the epilogue, which wasn’t any better. Free to listen to or not, I’ll never get the time back that I spent listening. Skip this one. Your time would be better spent doing laundry.

Painful To Read
