Harry does it again!

Mr Gatword has a way of transporting you right into the story and right into The Dales. Can't wait for the next one!

Best Grimm Yet!

I have grown to love every one in the Dales. It’s like visiting with old friends. Gatward’s stories and our narrator’s absolute brilliance are an unbeatable combination. “Please, sirs, I’d like some more!”

Surprise Ending

I didn't discover Harry Grimm until May 2023; I enjoyed Grimm Up North so I read the next one; and the next one; and the one after that. Okay, now I'm officially addicted to the cake, the cheese, the dales, the dogs, the sheep--the works. This is Number 18 in the series and I've sucked them all up! Ashes of Betrayal is exactly like all the others--sometimes a bit maudlin, but charming and entertaining. Love the characters and this series. But I was surprised at the very last moment. I could have anticipated it, but I was guessing in the wrong direction. Staying tuned for Number 19!

Always a great story

I did a little happy dance when my 2 fave series overlapped a wee bit!

Even the 18th book is still good.

Another good Harry Grimm adventure. This was not my favorite, however. I sort of lost the plot for a while and had to rewind a bit to catch up. That may have just been me though. The story was good and the narration superb as usual. I loved the cameos from Logan and Tyler.

The entire book

This book is fantastic, exciting, funny, personal, heartbreaking, and more. A feature is that the detectives are not miserable, but real.

I love this series

David J Gatward never disappoints. Aubrey Parsons is Harry Grimm. Some series get tired after many books. This series gets better with each addition. Perhaps, as fans of Harry, we have grown to love him and the surrounding cast of characters that have come to be a part of his life. The mystery is entertaining, but the joy the ending brings is wonderful, I loved it.

Grimm and Lovin’ it!

Bloody brilliant! I think this is my favorite so far……I might say that at the end of each book but this is another great read. David Gatward just keeps getting better! I love the team, the plot, the writing and listening to the narration by Parsons. I’m definitely a Grimm! I don’t want to use the word fan….because being a Grimm is so much more! I think I’m going to start over with book 1 and read each book again in anticipation of the next Grimm installment.

Loved the story, and the settings

As always, an extremely well written book with a great plot. I really enjoyed this story and it never ceases to amaze me how many ways the author keeps coming up with to create crimes that the stories are based upon. I really enjoyed the crossover with DCI Logan and in all honesty I wish they could have got the gentleman who reads for the Logan series to do his voice. I would really love to see more of the crossovers between the two detectives because I just like both very much. Thanks once again for a lot of very enjoyable hours listening to this book and I look forward to the next one.
