About this listen

Ten-year-old best friends Nathan and Adam really liked Joe. He was their friend, an artist, the man they spoke to through the wire fence of the lunatic asylum.

But something happened behind those walls, in those rooms, on the grounds, at the river. Joe sketched it all - fine lines, truth in the negative space, truth in the pencil strokes. And then, he was gone.

Twenty years later, Nathan and Adam receive a letter. But can they find what's hiding between the lines?

ok light read

Not what I was looking for. lf your light hearted this is for you.
Maybe it would have been better with a different reader. The voice is to calm and no enthusiasm.

Predictable, bland

Worst narrator I have ever heard. Pacing off, pronunciation issues, stilted, almost monotone, expressionless. Perhaps rating would have been higher with better narrator. I am off this author now, and definitely will not recommend this book

Needs polishing

Dialogue feels forced and unnatural, especially between the kids. Not a lot of depth but the attempt was there. Book was set in Australia yet narrated with a very flat Midwest (?) American accent, just a bit off putting. I just never got fully engaged.
