Millionaire CEO Adam Drake overcame a tortured past to take control of his life and build his own gaming empire. The final piece falls into place with his newfound love for brilliant geek girl blogger Mia Strong. Now Adam is at the top of his game.

Your princess is in another castle.

Then Mia suddenly breaks things off, leaving Adam in the dark. He senses she needs his help but that she's too stubborn or scared to ask. The more he tries to take control, the further she shies away. This is one problem he can't solve by writing a check or a few clever lines of code.

He will have to dig deep and put himself at risk...or else risk losing her forever.

Emotional and Heartrending Romance!

At Any Turn continues with Adam and Mia's emotional, and sizzling romance. This story picks up where book one left off. Everything is wonderful as Adam and Mia are starting a new and happy life together. Suddenly Mia seems to be pulling away, and Adam wants to do whatever he can to help her. Mia is headstrong, wanting to make her own decisions. When Adam takes over, Mia is furious. No matter how hard Adam tries, he just makes things worse and Mia just pulls further away. It goes against everything he is to let Mia go, but he will do whatever it takes to win her back. This was a very frustrating story for me. I felt so bad for Adam, and confused by Mia's actions. Even tho I could feel how much she wanted to be with Adam, she had her own turmoil that she needed to figure out on her own first. Is their new love strong enough to endure this heartrending impasse?
Jason Clarke narrates this emotional, and steamy romance. He does a great job evolving Adam and Mia's turbulant relationship thru their rollercoaster journey making me feel all the angst, heartbreak, and passion they felt. The ending left me stunned and needing more.

Just okay for me. 💜

I love the storyline but I feel like this story is much longer than it needs to be. A lack of communication in any story is almost always a given, however, for me there’s a limit before it’s too much.
That said, I couldn’t stop reading/listening to this book, wanting to know what happens next.
The narration was excellent.

Great narration but frustrating story

It has been a couple years since I've read book one but I remember loving the characters and really enjoying the story line so I was happy to finally get to the second book. Unfortunately, this one fell a little flat for me. The entire book was a back and forth fight between Adam and Mia, anytime they would take a step forward as a couple Adam would do something controlling and Mia would feel betrayed and walk away. I remember they were both new to relationships but they both seemed very immature or childish in how they reacted. This story was told in Adams POV which might have made me side with him a little more than if I was able to hear/understand Mia's thinking process because each fight they had she completely blew up and overreacted. Yes, Adam had control issues so he made some stupid mistakes, but she ran every time and shoved all the blame on him instead of talking things through... not to mention the secret she kept from everyone in her life was extreme and that would be a hard one for me to forgive. I am hoping they get their shit together in book 3 because I really did love them as a couple originally!

Jason Clarke did an amazing job narrating, I could listen to him reading all day long!

All in for Adam and Mia!

I loved the first book in this series, and immediately had to know more about Adam and Mia. This book was great, and I can now say that I am fully invested in these characters and their love story. Jason Clarke was fabulous as always bringing Adam's POV to life. It was great to get to know his side of the story. This book is full of determination, heartache, and love. I'm looking forward to more from Brenna Aubrey!

Maddening but couldn't stop listening.

Good narrator. was generally angry with Emelia for being so stubborn and childish but I liked the story.

Frustrating

I wanted to shake Mia. She was so frustrating in this book. I think I only finished this book to find out what was going on because Mia made me turn off the book more than once. In the end, it was a good book. Moving on to book 3.

What a great story

Like everyone else, I'm beyond sick of Mia. She needs to go sit down somewhere and stop trying to be a damn superhero! I wish Adam would move on from her and start dating someone else- even if his heart wasn't in it. It would've been interesting even if it was that slut from earlier. Overall, this is an AWESOME series and I loveeeeee Jason Clarke. Even tho I did have to speed up some parts bcz I felt like it dragged a bit towards the middle. But this author has SKILLS! I'm not a gamer and I followed along completely. I wish Adam had better recourse with his legal issue. That was BS! As far as Mia goes, I still get it. But Adam got it right in book one when he said, " you're just a scared little girl"! 💯% AGREE!
