About this listen

She knows there are risks. She just doesn’t know the price.

Nurse Anne Silva is having "the week from hell". First, her boss pulled the budget out from under the CAPMED holiday fund: cue disappointed sick kids with nothing to distract them from being sick. And now Anne’s car is sporting a banged-up bumper, courtesy of an anonymous driver who fled the scene.

That is until the alluring blonde shows up as Anne’s newest colleague...Nurse Taylor Delaney is a coward. She knows this because anyone with guts would have stopped to make amends instead of hitting the gas. Worse, Anne Silva is the most gorgeous woman she has ever met. All Taylor knows now is that she’ll do anything to make it right — down to her last dime.

As their unlikely friendship blossoms, Anne and Taylor’s desires and passions begin to intensify away from the hospital corridors. But when Taylor starts spouting accusations that go all the way to the top, Anne is forced to confront an uncomfortable truth.

But . . . at what cost?

I like medical novels, but this one was not the best I listened to. And the narrator suits more children’s books that an adult book so I didn’t care much about the narration.
