It was hard to believe that all of this really happened, but it did. The end of the book tells you about the real life person that the book is about and what she went through. this is a must-read book for everyone, adults and children. it is about women's suffrage but it is also about a woman who fought for workers rights and what she endured for that cause. it is about the history of labor unions in the early 1900s. the woman is originally from Russia and her family is Jewish. they move to America and thankfully it was before the Russian revolution. but in order to work in America, she had to work in factories in the south side of New York which were slums at that time. so it is very detailed, very emotional and very historic.

All of this really happened.
