Publisher's summary

If you want to learn how to audit, then pay attention....

Auditing can be a scary concept to people studying accounting and finance, but it doesn’t have to be. Many people are scared by the idea of having to make sure somebody else is doing things correctly, especially in such a high-pressure environment as the tumultuous world of business.

What can help you, though, is having someone clearly and concisely explain everything you need to know about the topic. That’s what this audiobook aims to do. Over the course of this audiobook, you're going to learn a whole lot about many different topics: from risk assessment to the different types of audits, all the way to how to perform all of them and file a report.

You'll also discover how auditing relates to accounting and how you yourself can be a great auditor and perform your job extremely well.

Auditing: The Ultimate Guide to Performing Internal and External Audits will cover topics such as:

  • What is auditing?
  • Types of audits, balance sheets, and assertions
  • Life as an auditor - differences in audits and ethics
  • Auditing business functions and assets

Generally good.

Great, the book is generally good. Exactly the same as the hard bound edition. Great option if you need or want to save your time and money as well.

Well Written after well research.

Very well written. Easy to follow. The book had a lot of good points. I really enjoyed reading and learning the material as it was presented in class the same way it was written.

Great info as packed with data.

As far as an audible go, this one is a winner!! It Gets to the point quickly, has definitions at the end of each chapter, and has plenty of on-topic review questions.

Good book for review...

I mainly got this book for reference since I had only rented my college books and now doing the forensics class, this provides me with good reference for the auditing class.

This is sweet indeed.

This is the one book you'll definitely want to have with you if you're traveling and you have room in your back pack for just one book. Read it, then read it again and again. Seriously, you can't put this thing down. It's that good! You'll be talking about it with your friends and family for years to come.

This is a greatly written book

This is a fabulously written book. It is not difficult to find information in it; the book is greatly organized as for as the content is concern. Sometimes it feels like the writers were being deliberately put everything in it. Furthermore, the team that wrote the book and the team that wrote the Connect questions seem like two different teams. But they did fantastic job.

Excellent.

Very good book on audit principles, processes, and procedures. This proves to be most useful even today. I continue to reference this text in the field doing audit for client.

Just Ok

I try not to be too harsh because I can only imagine how much work goes into making an audio book. However, this one was a little rough around the edges. The content was ok for an introductory level book. The narrator has a great voice, but there were a lot of misread items in the book, and they were quite noticeable. An easy listen if you would like another Accounting book to add to the collection, but definitely not a single source to rely on.
