Great for those who are starting a new business.

If you are already familiar with basic accounting and auditing then, I stress this to you and try to make yourself a pro in this field. You need to understand how the numbers go together and what they mean in a small business or you will end up like the other 80% that fail. This book helps you learn those numbers.

Fantastic descriptions.

This is indeed an easy to listen and understand especially to those ones who have never taken accounting classes. From the start and till the end, it will teach you the way of forensic audits.

Disappointing But Servicable

I came into this expecting a book like Howard M. Schilit's book Financial Shenanigans and got more or less the Forensic Accounting for Idiots book. Or well it is hard to tell because the book tries, in vain given its length, to cover all sorts of forensic accounting topics. The first part of the book seems to be targeted at those planning to study to become and accountant and seems to lack focus. The rest of the book seems to be on point, but never really stays on a subject long enough for an in depth, educated, and helpful understanding of the subject matter. It is too shallow for those who understand the subject and even too shallow I feel for those who wish to educate themselves in certain areas. The audio performance is pretty lackluster as well. It sort of grows on you as the book goes along, but I can't help feeling the delivery comes off as clinical and the narrator is bored by the subject of the book.

Good book for Accountants. Great service.

As an accountant, very pleased with it. For years I have been struggling with this topic. But not now after listening to this fabulous book. As I have done this I have had to understand more and more about accounting in order to deal with my bankers, my financial advisors and my CPA.

Great book for forensic lovers.

Great book for forensic lovers and there are excellent details about the topic. Easy listening for 5 hours and 55 minutes with great information that I could use on a daily basic. Love it

I am disappointed.

I'm a quick study on math-type things (as a former MBA student), and I was hoping for things to be explained so I could understand them and use them. Instead, this is more of a prescriptive approach, I just able to understand the points but if a person nothing knows about forensic will not be able to follow you. Keep it a bit simple. (Its my perception, not necessary you should agree with it.)

Good introduction to Forensic principles

I found this book to be a decently written on the topic, understandable review of basic Forensic principles. It's written for those with a limited background in Forensic accounting; if you've studied accounting for a while it's a quick review, but probably won't teach you much.

Positive recommendations for everyone.

Especially valuable are the sections on Forensic Accountants and Auditor, since reading and understanding them make a world of difference in being able to make sense of annual reports, retirement benefits, and basically any other stock-related correspondence.

The topic of my life.

For years I have been struggling with this topic. A friend of mine suggested me this book to understand the forensic. The book was written in a manner that was so easy to use and understand in my daily life, that by the time I finished listening to it (and I couldn't put it down-an accounting book?), I felt so much more confident in dealing with my financial people. Good job.
