Publisher's summary

While exploring the attic in her cottage near the small English village of Finch, Lori Shepherd makes an extraordinary discovery: a gold and silver bracelet inlaid with gleaming garnets, which she quickly learns belonged to Aunt Dimity. When Lori brings news of the garnet bracelet to Aunt Dimity, it awakens poignant memories of a doomed romance in Aunt Dimity's past. Regretfully, Aunt Dimity asks Lori to do what she could not bring herself to do - return the bracelet to her unsuccessful suitor or to his rightful heir.

Thank you, thank you thank you!

Thank you for getting a new narrator! I will probably listen to this book at least 3 times just to cleanse my ears of the last narrator!

Poor narration

Would you listen to Aunt Dimity and the Buried Treasure again? Why?

I love it until the end.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

What happen to the treasure. I have a passion for archeology and history and to leave anything to rot in the ground that could add to humanity knowledge of itself because it might put you out, makes me angry. If this had been the first book of Aunt Dimity I mostly would have never pick up another one. Thank goodness it wasn't.

Would you be willing to try another book from Nancy Atherton? Why or why not?

Yes, because I loved all the ones before this.

Which scene was your favorite?

Any of the scenes with the baby.

Was Aunt Dimity and the Buried Treasure worth the listening time?

Kind off. Characters that I've enjoyed from the beginning are there but the ending was so disappointing that I wouldn't be looking forward to the next book as much as I did in the past.

Any additional comments?

I know that the author has the right to do anything she wants with her creation but I expected more respect for art and history from this author then she showed in this book. I was very disappointed.

Gee thanks

For ruining this series. This narrator is NOT for this series. She is too deadpan and sounds like she is my age (73). This is the last of this series I will download

Wonderful new narrator for this great series!

What did you love best about Aunt Dimity and the Buried Treasure?

I have all the Aunt Dimity books on Audible and today I feel all my Christmases have come at once! Thank God this one has a new narrator! (The one who did all the other books left a lot to be desired!) Nancy Atherton is a fabulous author and it's a crying shame that the previous 20 books in this marvellous series had to have Teri Clark Linden narrating them. The new narrator does a terrific job! Oh and the book itself is a top read! Just like all the previous ones. I think Aunt Dimity should be made a National Treasure. And so should her author!
Keep them coming Nancy Atherton - I love your writing!

What did you like best about this story?

Everything - especially the wonderful narration.

Which character – as performed by Christina Moore – was your favorite?

She was splendid with all the characters!

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Aunt Dimity and author Nancy Atherton should be registered as national treasures!

Any additional comments?

A wonderful read in this great series. May there be many, many more with the same new narrator.

C.Moore does N.Atherton's wonderful story justice!

Would you consider the audio edition of Aunt Dimity and the Buried Treasure to be better than the print version?

I haven't had the pleasure of reading this story in print because I was so excited to have Christina Moore reading Aunt Dimity's latest adventure!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Aunt Dimity and the Buried Treasure?

I think it was Lori's big decision near the end of the book...which I can't discuss due to spoilers. The other aspect I liked very much was the tour of the very special part of London one gets throughout the story. It was a treasure hunt into history. Nancy Atherton always draws such amazing characters, it is easy to get caught up in their big adventures as well as the simple adventures experienced in their daily lives.

What about Christina Moore’s performance did you like?

I loved Christina's performance in the two previous recordings she made of Aunt Dimity Beats the Devil and Aunt Dimity's Death. I actually bought this Audiobook from another company so I could listen to it as soon as it came out. I only bought this copy from Audible so I could write this positive review and encourage them to re-record the series with Christina so I can buy the whole collection!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I enjoyed the meeting with Badger hearing his story. So different, but reminiscent, of the outcome of the search in the first Aunt Dimity story.

Any additional comments?

I can't wait for Lori's next adventure!

Why a new narrator?

I feel like someone has stolen all the lovely characters of Finch. I’ve listened to the 20 previous books read by Teri Clark Linden and she is Laurie and aunt dimitys voice and Bill. Now it’s all I can do to listen.
The people who complain about Teri Clark Linden must have something wrong. She has done an excellent job for the whole previous 20 books. Why change narrators at book 21? Please stop this madness and get her back for book 22.

Delightful!

I have loved the Aunt Dimity series since the beginning. I wish you would re-release the audio recordings that were done at the beginning by Christina Moore. She does such a wonderful job. I do not enjoy the recordings by Terry Clark Linden. They make me cringe. I know there are several books recorded by Christina Moore. I used to get them from my local library. A new Aunt Dimity book is a treasure!

Voice

Did not like the narrator's voice as well as the first 20 books of Aunt Dimity.
