Publisher's summary

For Louisa, the Christmas period has never been full of joy and cheer, unless you counted a drunk mother and her trail of deadbeat boyfriends. So when she gets the opportunity to become a chalet girl in the resort of Alpe d'Huez in the French Alps she jumps at the chance. Only she gets more than she bargained for when her assigned family turn out to be three hot bachelor brothers with a penchant for partying and women. When Louisa is asked to join the brothers on a trip to a remote log cabin high up in the mountains, she has no choice but to go or risk losing her job. Only things don't go according to plan when a heavy snowstorm hits trapping Louisa and the three horny brothers for the entire Christmas weekend. Can't finish this series

I love the story! I love the characters! BUT the Narrator was not good.... her male voices weren't good (and I understand that that's a stretch for anyone doing the voice of the other sex), too many long pauses, inflection was not great and way too many repeated sentences like she forgot where she was while reading 😳 . I may have to try reading them.

Good story!

I liked the story. Bea Paige does a good job with the storyline and Tina Scott does well with the narration. I really like the way the story is written and plays out. There were a couple of places where there were repeat phrases. It did not detract from the story for me.

Great Read

Avalanche of Desire (Brothers Freed, #1) was a great read by Bea Paige. Louisa never had a Christmas that was full of joy and cheer due to her drunk mother. She gets the opportunity to become a chalet girl in a resort in the French Alps. She winds up getting more than she bargained for when she finds out the family that she's working for are three bachelor brothers. She decides to go on a trip with them to a remote log cabin. While their at the cabin, a heavy snowstorm happens. I really enjoyed reading this book and cant wait to read more in this series.

Fun and Short

I really enjoyed this story. I love how all of the characters are broken in some way and trying to become whole. I love the Brothers Freed, I wish we got some POVs from them. I'd like to know what they were thinking, especially when Louisa was very standoffish.

Tina Scott's was not my favourite. Her voices for the men and her mother just didn't work for me. She did make them distinguishable. For the most part her narration was clear and easy to follow.

I NEED MORE!!!

The only complaint I have about this that I have to wait for the next book!!! It took me a few chapters to get into this one but once it happened, I COULDN'T STOP LISTENING!!! I love the men in this book and each of their personalities are so unique but work so well together. The story was engaging and the antics of the men had my attention focused solely on this audio.

So, I lied, I may have more than 1 complaint.... Unfortunately, I am not the biggest fan of the narration of this book. I understand that the characters and British and have accents, but I felt the accent used here was too thick and made some parts hard to understand. I also wish the narrator would have focused more on the voices she used for the 3 men. The voices used sounded out of place to the characters.

Broken Souls looking for love

I love the characters in this story. There is something about broken people that makes me want them to find happiness and balance. Join Louisa as she struggles to navigate love while enabling an addiction riddled mother. The Brothers Freed may just be what she needs, and she may be what they need.

I want more

I really liked this book. It is a cliffhanger but I don’t mind them. I definitely want more from these characters.

Tina Scott thrilled me.

Louisa's life is not glamorous. Her time is spent taking care of and cleaning up after her drunk, loose mother. She has a history of bad boyfriends. So when she gets the opportunity to be a chalet girl at a ski resort in the French Alps, she jumps at the opportunity to make good money and escape her home for the Holidays. It turns out that she is assigned the crown chalet at the resort, the chalet of 'The Brothers Freed', Hudson, Bryce, and Max. Three wealthy, gorgeous brothers who work hard and party harder. They spend their days skiing and their nights sleeping their way through every available female on the mountain. Every girl wants them, every girl except Louisa. She can't deny their sexiness or how handsome they are but they are damaged. She has enough damage of her own; she can't take on anyone else's. Despite a rocky first meeting, an even dicier second encounter, and a few run-ins with the brothers, Louisa declares herself off-limits and the four start to develop a friendship. There is a definite attraction, but Louisa is determined not to be like her mother. With her track record, she also knows that she would come away with nothing more than some hot memories and a broken heart. So begins the story of the Ice Queen and the 3 Brothers Dim! However, a bad decision puts her at a disadvantage with the brothers and Hudson gives her an ultimatum; accompany the brothers to their private cabin further up the mountain for Christmas or be sent home. Feeling she has no choice, Louisa goes with the brothers. While the trip may start out poorly it quickly becomes the best Holiday of Louisa's life. She decides to take a chance and just enjoy herself, to follow her heart for their time away. This leads to an emotional and erotic connection between the four that brings Louisa happiness like she has never known before. Unfortunately, Holidays end and once back down the mountain real-life steps in. A phone call destroys everything.

I liked Louisa and understood her prickly, stand-offish behavior. I'm not sure I would have been tempted at all in her position. Yes, the guys were good-looking and sexy, however, they were such blatant womanizers it lessened any attraction I felt for them. Beyond their manwhoring ways, they were cruel at times trying to get a reaction from Louisa. I can't accept this behavior, it turns me off. I did appreciate their change of heart and their attempts at being better. The Holiday was lovely except for a momentary lapse with Bryce. It was also scorching hot!! Just let me say blindfold and table, shower, rug, bed. You get the idea! I loved how the story ended. Everything is now so uncertain, I can't wait to see what happens next. Is their connection real or were they only on Holiday?

As an American, I fangirl over the English accent. Tina Scott thrilled me. With every word she spoke, she brought Louisa to life for me. How can the English sound so proper and also so naughty at the same time? #AudiobookObsessionReviewer

First part of trilogy

Book #1 in a trilogy about Louisa and the Brothers Freed.
My first book by this author, but I liked it a lot!
It’s the story of Louisa who is offered a job as a chalet girl in France for Christmas. Unwilling to leave her alcoholic mom behind, she does take the job. Turns out that the Brothers Freed are her “family” to take care of during their stay in the chalet.
I really liked the characters and each of their stories and how vulnerable they turned out to be. It left me with a warm feeling towards them all. Ends with a cliffhanger. I’m looking forward to #2.

The narrator, Tina Scott, did a good job in giving each brother his own voice.

4 lonely souls coming together

This book was actually kind of beautiful. Four lonely souls coming together. The three brothers already had a bond but they found a broken girl and wanted to help. This was another surprise read for me. I thought it was going to be all steam and no real depth but I was wrong. This book gave me all the feels and I liked it! I need the next one now!!
