About this listen

King Katar is gravely ill. Esral must go back to her place of birth, to be at her father's side, during this difficult time. She is relieved when her protector, Xavier, is not permitted to accompany her. It is becoming more difficult to deny her feelings for the vampire prince who clearly feels nothing for her in return. Right now, she must focus on her father's needs and on getting him well again...regardless of what it might cost her in the end.

The elven princess is a delicate beauty of the rarest kind. Xavier has the utmost respect for the female and the ideals she holds so dear. A complete innocent, she plans on saving herself for her future mate. If only she knew the kinds of thoughts he had about her, she would never allow herself to be alone with him ever again. May never even speak to him again, and he wouldn't blame her.

Contains mature themes.

No words

I would think that the story line would get old… but it doesn’t. On to the next book. Loving the series.

Pretty Good

This book was pretty decent; interesting storyline and characters; narrators did a good job with characters. Next book in series should be good based on the ending of this book.

Fan

Interesting with elves in the story line. Now the princess has to decide on a mate a x who will she chose? The ending sounds great for the next book and hopefully she will have the baby.

Good book

It's a good book, but dragged too long and really hate how the princess couldn't stand up for herself always waiting for everyone to fight her battles 🙄🙄. But the story line is good

Wow

I enjoyed this book but was so annoyed with the main characters dragging their feet about caring for one another. I also definitely don’t want to break. a female. elves thorn lol.

Amazing characters

The whole series is great. I am listening to them in order. All the characters are so wonderfully written. The author has a way with telling a story. I could listen to her books all day. I am busy most days. So I listen to them in the car if I am alone or in headphones when I do yard and house work. I will be looking at all her books to see if they are as great as this series. Thank you

So Boring

After the first 2 books in this series, every story is roughly the same and it's all about "rutting". It's ridiculous, gets boring very quickly and has very little else to the story. Take this book for example. Nearly every page has someone talking about how good the princess looks, how her "mammary glands" look delicious and make them want to "rutt". Honestly, that is the language used, I'm not making this up. But there is a sliver of another story running with this that her father has been poisoned and may die. I'd say it's a 90/10 split with the sex getting 90% of it all. I'm not a prude by any stretch but you have to have a strong story to carry that much sex and this doesn't have it. It actually gets old after awhile because everything is repeated. It's a 'been there, done that, NEXT! situation. Who wants that in a book?
