Publisher's summary

Holloway: I’m the lead guitarist for Wayward Lane and I love everything about my rockstar life. Everything except my security detail. And the more popular our band becomes, the less freedom we have. All it takes is one overzealous fan and I find myself constantly shadowed by the one bodyguard I love to tease and evade: Dawson Everly. Mr. Tall, Dark, & Uptight lives by strict rules, and I’m a free spirit, so naturally, we argue at every turn. But my flirtation and his aggravation is a combustible mix and suddenly I discover there are some orders I don’t mind taking. And those strings I usually avoid? They start looking pretty good. Thing is, Dawson has a son and I never imagined I’d fall, let alone for a family man.

But every rockstar has their day - is it crazy that I want Dawson to be mine?

Dawson: As a bodyguard for Wayward Lane, I’ve seen all the rockstar shenanigans. The biggest troublemaker? The guy who loves to escape his detail: guitarist, Iain Holloway. He’s stunning, spontaneous, and a gigantic pain in my… you get the picture. I’ve tried to keep my professional distance but it’s getting impossible to ignore the attraction between us. But falling for a rockstar is a risk I’m not prepared for. I have an eight-year-old son, Jaxon, who means everything to me. The single dad guilt is hitting hard when I’m on the road and the time has come to make a choice.

Only, my heart doesn’t belong solely to my son anymore. It turns out, Iain has managed to find a way in there too.

B-Mine is a slow burn, single dad, opposites attract, MM rockstar romance filled with fiery chemistry, unexpected love, and a heartfelt, hard-fought HEA.

Grumpy vs Stable

Adorable enemies to lovers story. Rockstar/Bodyguard. Slow burn. Low Angst. Spice 🌶️🌶️, Dual POV. Overarching world it really helped to listen to the first story first.

I enjoyed the narration in this book so much more than the last.

Enjoyed It

I enjoyed this one as much as I did book one. I didn't want to put it down. It was worth reading. I loved listening to the audiobook for this. Zachary Zaba's narration really helped bring the story to life.

I received an ARC and this is my unbiased opinion

Found family

As with Van and Brody, Ian and Dawson definitely had their moments of vulnerability and passion. When you know, you just know and there is no denying the power of love. Both of these couples were interesting to say the least, their age differences didn’t seem to matter. Jackson was such a great character addition, can’t wait for him to grow up a little so we can experience life with a tween on the road.

Zachary did another exceptional job with this narrative. Even though, I must admit, Dawsons character did become kind of monotone which was similar to Van’s character in the first book. Playing multiple characters is difficult and differentiating between the characters can be challenging, but either way, great storytelling and bringing the characters to life!!

A fun rockstar romance!

This was my first audio from this author, and it was absolutely amazing! Zachary Zaba is fantastic as always, and it was so easy to love these characters. I typically like to read a book before listening, but in this case I decided to go right for the audio and I'm glad I did. I'll be going back to listen to the first book, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series!

Holloway & Dawson

This is the second book in the Wayward Lane series by Ava Olsen. I listened to both book 1 and book 2 via audio, narrated by Zachary Zaba. Zaba is new to me as of this series, and I enjoyed it.

Holloway is a rockstar with some issues; one being a stalker and the being the attraction he has to his bodyguard, Dawson. Dawson is a single father who’s pinning after his charge, a member of Wayward Lane. Both have to let their guard down to be with one another. Holloway has to let himself be loved by Dawson and his family.

I love this series and can’t wait for book 3, releasing in May 2024. I found this series by accident and so glad I did. The story is fun, the characters are enjoyable, and the narrator is great. I would definitely get these books in audio.

A rockstar and his bodyguard

This one has a few things going on, age gap, single dad, stalker, possessive bodyguard and a sweet little boy. Iain is the guitarist for Wayward Lane. Dawson is his bodyguard. They both wish there was more to it than that. I really liked how this relationship evolved. There is a lot of flirting and banter. And when they do get it together it's hot!! There's suspense with a stalker but it's not the main part of the story. I listened to this before book one and I wasn't too confused but I do plan on going back and listening to it. Zachary Zaba does a great job with the narration. I will definitely continue on with the series.

So good!!

I love a good rockstar romance, throw in single dad, bodyguard and a stalker and I’m hooked! I love Iain and Dawson, the tension between these two was insane from the start. I love the strong bond within the band. This book was so steamy and had me swooning. I can’t wait for the next one!

MM rockstar and bodyguard

This is the second book in the series. After the epic love story of Van and Brody we get to know Iain and Dawson. Although the obvious attraction between the two, Dawson tries to stay professional around Iain but it turns out, its not qn easy job. Iain is hot, sexy and hard to resist.

usually I dont like single dads stories but in this one it was very well incorporated in the story. maybe because Dawson is away from his kid most of the book its not that strong but also because the kid is 8 years old. anyway I loved this one.

The narration by Zachary Zaba is very good. he gave each character its own unique voice and feeling.

don't hesitate to listen to this. its worth the credit!

The Disappearing Rockstar and His Bodyguard!

I adored the premise of this story. Poor Dawson knowing Iain's famous disappearing acts and finding out he is going to be responsible for him. Dawson really was the man for the job and so much more though. Dawson gives as good as he gets from Iain, and I really enjoyed this bickering dynamic. You just know it is going to combust and turn passionate. I enjoyed the realistic aspect of Dawson also dealing with the guilt of being away from his adorable young son Jaxon too. He had to learn to balance his time and affections because Iain wormed his way into his heart too. I enjoyed Zachary Zaba' narration. Especially how he brought out all of Dawson's protective and caring sides.
