About this listen

After a devastating loss, Hayden Foster guards his heart with unwavering determination.

A part-time professor and photojournalist, Hayden immerses himself in work, finding it easier to face the world from behind his camera lens. When his one-night fling walks into his classroom four days later, his carefully constructed walls begin to crumble.

Carefree frat boy Tyler Statler loves a good time. He's eager to take advantage of everything college life offers before embarking on his dream job as a music journalist. But when the bright-eyed stranger from a few nights before turns out to be his new professor, his world changes.

Despite the risks, Tyler and Hayden struggle to ignore their forbidden connection. When their undeniable attraction blurs the boundaries between student and teacher, their academic relationship quickly turns into illicit passion.

Knowing they're playing a dangerous game, they do all they can to keep their relationship private. But when an unforeseen revelation threatens to expose everything they've tried to keep hidden, it leaves their future hanging in the balance.

Now, they must make a choice. Either abandon their after-hours lectures or embrace the thrill of breaking all the rules.

Love forbidden stories!

I love the age gap, professor/student tropes so much. This one was fantastic! Hayden and Tyler were pure fire. Can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series.

Nice easy flow

This was a really nice book to listen to. The conflicts were brief and easily overcome, unlike some books that keep you frustrated on edge instead of just enjoying the story. I felt like these characters could be my friends or neighbors, not super heroes or people in complete control of their lives. I really enjoyed the connection and intimacy of their friendship as well as their romance.

I fell in love with chase and gage in “dibs” - and now it’s Tyler’s turn to find love and I’m here for the shmexy professor/student love!

Loved the story

As much as I love the book, and though I try every time I see Tor Thom as a narrator, his narration still bothers me. I’m sure he’s great and I’m sure a lot of listeners enjoy him, but after Game Changers (Rachael Reid) and this, it’s just a …yikes.

Other narrator was fantastic and did a great job.

Either way, can’t wait for the rest of the audiobooks (and books) to follow.

A nice Happily Ever After

This story was an unexpected delight. I usually avoid professor and student storylines, but this one definitely exceeded my expectations. meeting before they were teacher and student and then doing their best to avoid the romance was thrilling.

of course they have their bumps in trouble is, but in the end it all worked out. There is a third act break up, but it does get resolved at the end of the story. The conniving ex was in the background, they definitely throw a wrench into things.

I recommend for sure.
