About this listen
Retired psychology professor John Castellanos has become caught up in a dangerous game of wits and survival. This game is run by a mysterious and ancient secret society called The Illuminés of Paris. This secret group has quietly influenced every major revolution and conflict over the past three hundred years. They have challenged John, but the reasons for this deadly call are still unclear.
John's life has already been marred by several attempts on his life, all meticulously planned by The Illuminés. The first incident occurred mid-air on a flight bound for New York, where an unseen hand sabotaged the aircraft, forcing an emergency descent. He narrowly escaped death in Bermuda, where he was cornered yet again, managing to evade his assailants by defusing a chemical weapon at the last minute. More recently, the peril escalated on the Eurostar, a high-speed train whisking passengers from London to Paris, where the train was taken over remotely and accelerated to exceed its safety parameters. Then, in Paris, following clues from the symbols found in the speeding train, John headed to the Louvre museum, where he was again targeted by the Illuminés, who released a time-critical nerve agent into the museum. John was forced to solve a riddle hidden in the artwork to save himself and the innocent visitors snared in this deadly trap. After solving this diabolically complex riddle, John discovered a hidden chamber inside the art museum filled with artwork that hinted at the final confrontation in the headquarters building of The Illuminés. John believes that the painting “House of Mystery and Mayhem” and other artworks in the hidden chamber reference Rennes-le-Chateau in southern France.
Will John finally face this secret order and uncover their lethal motives?
