Good first book effort

I think this has the trappings of a good series of books and a character in Lexi that I would want to follow again. It is nice to have supporting characters that are not the typical cast of characters and San Francisco in the 80's becomes a character in itself. I believe the narrator was inconsistent with her character's voices and accents. That became a bit distracting. The turn to the final conflict was a bit jarring and I would have like a bit smoother transition. It was unexpected, which I am okay with it, but it came on fast and maybe missed out on some build to the finale. All in all worth the time invested in listening to it.
