About this listen

One moment I was standing there, sword raised, knees trembling. The next, in a blur of fur and fury, the hellish creature was flying towards me, its huge front paws extended and savage claws aiming straight at my hammering heart...

Barnaby Grimes is a tick-tock lad - he'll deliver any message anywhere anytime. As fast as possible. Tick-tock - time is money! But strange things are afoot. One moonlit night, as Barnaby highstacks above the city, leaping from roof to roof, gutter to gable, pillar to pediment, a huge beast attacks. He barely escapes with his life. And now his friend Old Benjamin has disappeared.

This is a wonderful book to go brain dead to!

this book drives my sister and i insane with laughter! the poor young guy is always on a "high stacking" tangent! he goes on and on about the amenities of traveling by rooftop. And God forbid we forget he is a ticktock lad! he is REALLY proud of that.no really. he prattles on about how great he is at his job.but is still really funny to listen to even when you have to prop your eyes open with toothpicks for a couple of hours.over all its pretty funny!

A Good Book Ruined by a Bad Narrator

Having read this book before I already knew the writing and story would be good, HOWEVER the narrator does such a poor job that he brings the whole thing down. There's no sort of inflection in his delivery and worst of all he noticably inhales through his mouth before every utterance which both makes the audio very annoying and sentences feel disjointed. I was looking for something good to listen to on my way to work but instead I'm disappointed, just read the book.
