I just can’t get beyond 5 chapters.
I will try the written version.
This narrator just can’t set up the story line for me to even feel the characters.
Not the narrator this book needs
Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
Put in a girl and boy reeking of pheromones and hormones but their love can never be. Their dismay at their middle school self doubts and self imprisonment is obliquely revisited every minute in some denials (why can’t they do the Ken/Barbi thing and just admit they lack genitals?)
No one seems to think a loose sniper on their base is unusual. No outcry for protection. But no military missions either.
The bad guy is possibly obvious but the author’s misdirection through misinformation regarding medical, pharmaceutical and veterinary care disguises.
The target audience is clearly preteen. Adults likely will tire of the stupidity and condescending attitude towards readers/listeners.
Banal, repetitive and stupid
