Although modern aquaponics is still fairly new, it was used in ancient times. Some of the first examples are thought to be islands where plants raised with water and other materials from the Chinampa canals. The islands, known as Chinampas, were mainly stationary, but some were movable. Also, rice was raised in Thailand and China in paddies, which also contained fish. Other Far Eastern countries also raised fish - swamp eels, regular and crucian carp, and Oriental loach - in rice paddies.

But you should also keep in mind that beekeeping is no walk in the park - you need all the help you can get.

In one of Phil Mason's many revelations, you'll learn that Communist jets were two minutes away from opening fire on American planes during the Cuban missile crisis, when they had to turn back as they were running out of fuel. You'll discover that before the Battle of Waterloo, Napoleon's painful hemorrhoids prevented him from mounting his horse to survey the battlefield.

Story
In The Quantum Universe, Brian Cox and Jeff Forshaw approach the world of quantum mechanics in the same way they did in Why Does E=mc2? and make fundamental scientific principles accessible - and fascinating - to everyone. The subatomic realm has a reputation for weirdness, spawning any number of profound misunderstandings, journeys into Eastern mysticism, and woolly pronouncements on the interconnectedness of all things. Cox and Forshaw's contention? There is no need for quantum mechanics to be viewed this way.

Not as helpful as I hoped
The information here was very generic and cooky cutter. The author didn't seem to do thorough research before writing this and spouted off a lot of popular opinion that is not well founded and supported by many entomologist and other professionals.

Why bother.
Personally the only things good about this book is that it is short and did not cost much. Also, there is some misinformation. The reader was nice though.

Waste of time
Talks about important information but gives none.
This was a waste of time and you will learn nothing if you listen to it. Other than baseless claims about one thing or another, there is no real information in here. Save your time and money- it’s not worth $3.
