About this listen

Fall in love with this audio-first charmer from number-one New York Times best-selling author Susan Mallery!

When Nissa Lang’s house sitting job falls through, she’s left with no place to stay for the summer. While she’s figuring out what to do, her old family friend Desmond Stilling hears about her dilemma and invites her to stay on his palatial estate. Trouble is, Nissa’s always had a crush on Desmond, so she’ll have to keep her feelings under wraps....

Ever since Desmond was shipped off to boarding school as a child, Nissa’s tight-knit family was the closest thing he ever had to a real family of his own. Her brother invited him into their clan, and he’d never betray their trust by giving in to the hidden attraction he’s always harbored for Nissa.

But as the season heats up, the two get to know each other in a whole new way. Will their summer together be fleeing - or will it lead to the love of a lifetime?

Loved it! Just didn't want to put it down! What a wonderful story of friends and family. Even if not family by blood. Enjoyed

Great book

The story was good but the narration was awful!!! I kept thinking it was being read by a computer! Ruined the whole thing for me!

Robotic!

Desmond’s voice didn’t suit character well in my opinion. Very well performed otherwise. Thank you

This story started out really promising and with all the elements of a cute billionaire romance but when our hero remodeled Marisol’s home from that point on it became too unreal and a bit rushed for me. It was still entertaining and had a wonderful HEA but feel unreal to me. The dual POV narration was really good though and I would listen to more books by this duo.

Started out really good

Female narrator sounded like a robot through the whole thing. Jason Clarke was great and so was the story. However, I almost couldn't handle the female narrator.

Female narrator, ugh

I enjoyed the story, although it was a bit predictable. the female narrator was a bit of a challenge to listen to - not much passion...

good, but predictable story

This book was an easy listen. While the story line was quite predictable, the characters were easy to become invested in.

Cute story though quite predictable

Anyone who loves a great love story would love this book!! It kept my interest from beginning to end! It’s the first book I listened to from Susan Mallery, and I plan to listen to another book by her! The narration was great and easy to follow.

love is a crazy friendship

Good story. Really enjoyed the book itself, however, the narration was way to monotone and jilted. The narrators had no personality where the book was concerned. It came across as they had not read the book beforehand. This would have been much better if they had read the book first and were able to give the characters some personality when they read the parts. Audible missed the mark on this one.

Good story
